hi. Could anyone tell me the font used by Intercity in their publicity material and logo from 1987 onwards.

It's still copyrighted is it? Hence no preserved stock in swallow livery??

From what I have read, the INTERCITY swallow logo type was specially designed for the purpose.

Ian Riley's 37518 is preserved and carries Intercity livery, including the owner's name in the italicised demi-serif font and the swallow emblem.

86213 "Lancashire Witch" is also preserved and carries full Intercity swallow livery.

We used BR Corporate on the flap indicator boards and the printers we used had to be given written permission to use it.

These days the Technical Standard for Interoperability (TSI) for Persons of Reduced Mobility (PRM) simply specifies Sans Serif for any wayfinding and information boards.
