Evening all

Signaller job for NetworkRail. I logged into their website and it says invite to Assessment Pending. Does anybody know how long in the future the assessment is likely to be? I am thinking about booking a few days away in the country and might not have access to my computer to prepare in advance (which I intend to do). Also I could perhaps rearrange some holiday leave to try and get it leading up to the assessment.

Thanks

Hi Signal....You basically have been selected to go to an assessment centre which involves sitting various tests. If you are successful there, you will then be invited to an interview with the hiring Manager. This is normally formed of the 5 top scores from the centre. Not sure on the timespan but mine was about 1 month after initial sifting.

Thanks Bluejuice.

As it happened I got a call today to ask if I was free to attend an assessment day in London in a couple of weeks which is great news. I said yes, and then the follow up email comes through with the details, interestingly the email wants me to phone and confirm attendance. I will phone them up tomorrow to double confirm just in case.

Also the email I received states "Please note; if you are successful at interview we will not be able to offer you a position if we do not have the correct proof of eligibility documents." Does the 4 hour assessment centre include an interview? Or is this done if successful at assessment?

Im really looking forward to the tests, but nervous at the same time.
