In the UK, each car of a multiple unit has its own number, and you can search them using http://www.railuk.info/diesel/unit_search.php. Is there anything similar for Irish railways? I'm specifically trying to find car 29227.
Class 29000 units are unusual in that they have unit numbers that are in the same series as the side numbers.
The units are numbered 29001-29029
unit 29001 consists of:
29101 29201 29301 29401
29002 is:
29102 29202 29302 29402
and so on.
Does anyone have any details (or know of a good website) of the stock list for all Irish and Northern Irish trains? I am also just trying to find out all the unit numbers and carriage numbers of all the IE and NI DMUs and EMUs (the class 450 / 2600 / 2700 / 2750 / 2800 / 3000 / 4000 / 8100 / 8200 / 8500 / 8510 / 8520 / 22000 / 29000 units). The unit and carriage numbers on IE and NI railways seem a lot more confusing that our trains.
