Hi all,
Is anyone aware of any problems between Birmingham New Street, Nuneaton, Leicester and Stansted Airport beteen 1800 and 1930 this evening or earlier?
The 1822 BHM-STA was extremely busy as usual and ran at least 20 minutes late out of BHM. There may have been an incident that required the BTP as two officers were waiting for the train. The train appeared to be formed of two Class 170 Turbostars on arrival but despite the large crowd the train split into two with one half shutting down with "Leicester" on the front the the other unit going to STA about 20 minutes late.
I decided to avoid the crush and waited an extra 10 minutes for 1852 Leicester service from a different platform but this train was standing on the platform for 30 minutes beyond departure time without explanation.
Always seems to be the same with the BHM-LEI-(STA) services during the early evening.
Anyone know what caused these problems?
Many thanks,
Steve.

I've just read on the NRE site that there was an incident in the Dullingham area near Cambridge. It does say however that only NEEA were affected.
