Amusing. At least for me it is :).

Agree. It's like the guy who bought the Railtrack (Scotland) Ltd company (or similar) and began receiving loads of mail for the defunct company and started sending humorous responses.

Possibly damaging for both NRE and NX though!

Any chance of a cease-and-desist?

Well we don't know (yet) whether this is National Express or not... if it is then you can understand them wanting their brand image to be protected and not linked to the mistakes of Abellio.

If it isn't, then a cease and desist letter must come from NX only.

It's also abusing the National Rail Enquiries name though (which is a genuine source of confusion).

Being as it's a NRE Twitter account it's spoofing, not a NX one, surely it must be NRE who serves the CAD? Especially if it turns out to be perpetrated by someone connected with NX.

Looking at the most recent tweets, it suggests its being done by someone in the NRE office. An apology was posted but the mystery tweeter responded that they'd changed the password.

As they've apparently freely admitted to working for NRE, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before action is taken.

It's still going. It's actually quite funny. GA also have an unofficial account, ran by a passenger

Those letters are utterly hilarious.

That's also another spoof account. Some of these have been around for a while. As long as they annouce that they are spoof accounts, Twitter won't do anything

Seems like a war is going to break out in between the two. These accounts do provide funny reading while at work
