Leeds - Wellingborough, Peak travel with no discounts, Thursday 17 December

A question for a colleague, would anyone be able to suggest the cheapest available fare for:

Leeds - Wellingborough on Thursday 17 December, return the same day. Must arrive Wellingborough by 0850 at the latest. Return travel approx 1700 from Wellingborough.

No discounts apply, no railcards etc.

Will consider splits, but no loopholes.

Then, if 43094's colleague wants to avoid the through train at 0525, s/he must travel on:

0600 Leeds - Sheffield 0640
0649 Sheffield - Wellingborough 0824.

The flexible through ticket for this journey is the £102 Anytime Return Leeds - Wellingborough route via Sheffield.

trainsplit.com suggests a split using four flexible tickets:

£13.30 Anytime Day Return Leeds - Sheffield route not via Doncaster
£20.90 Anytime Day Return Sheffield - Derby
£13.10 Anytime Day Return Derby - Leicester
£21.50 Anytime Day Return Leicester - Wellingborough
Total £68.80, saving £33.20.
