I'm just doing some railway "admin" as it were as things have slipped a bit over the last few years. I am looking to find out which sets the following carriages were in, according to the year specified:

So the earliest posting with GWR formations appears to be in 2012. While the coaching stock of LA sets tended to be fairly fixed, the OC ones tended to change more regularly, particularly with regard to the buffet cars.

That's fantastic , thank you so much for taking the time to assist me , this is extremely helpful. I'd forgotten about hstgen so also thank you for reminding me , I haven't logged in there for years.

Ah the reason for EMT sets slipping in is because I was going through my entire mileage spreadsheets and the filtering wasn't working. In the end due to tiredness I was just noting down all HST TOPS.

42072 was in set LA09 - I missed off the set number in one report.

By 2016, the set formations were being reported on abrail but again that is only a snapshot in what was a regularly changing story.
