On Monday 11 December I intend travelling on c2c leaving Limehouse at 12:15 for Tilbury Cruise Terminal, where do I leave the train : Grays, Tilbury Town, or Tilbury Riverside? If at Grays or Tilbury Town are there usually taxis by the station?
My thanks for any assistance you can give.

You have to alight at Tilbury Town station. It is about a fifteen minute walk from Tilbury Town station. Tilbury Cruise Terminal is located right next to the Gravesend Ferry Terminal too. It is an easy fifteen walk but if you prefer not to walk then you can take the 99 bus. The route 99 bus runs every thirty minutes and costs £1.20 Single or £1.70 Return for the bus. If you want to take a taxi then you will have to phone one. There is no taxi rank at the station but there are plenty of local taxi companies you can call. 01375 855555 and 01375 405056 and 01375 375888 are the three main local companies in the area. A taxi ride would probably cost somewhere between £5.00 to £10.00 for this journey.

Tilbury Riverside station closed in 1992.

I've walked from Tilbury Town to the Tilbury-Gravesend Ferry (next to the Cruise Terminal) a few times over the years. Not a prticularly pleasant walk with HGVs thudering past on their way to the docks. I definitely wouldn't walk it if you're catching a Cruise.

I've tried, but failed, to catch the bus - it's never turned up when I've tried to catch it and I ended up walking it. Perhaps someone local can advise on the correct side of the station to alight for the bus and how reliable it is.

If catching a cruise I'd get a taxi.

The bus stops on both sides of the station. So you can catch it from either side. The bus runs as one big loop in one direction only so you can board the bus from anywhere to get anywhere on the route. It runs from Tilbury Cruise And Ferry Terminals to Fortress Distribution Park to Town Centre Civic Square to Railway Station North Side to Amazon to Asda to Railway Station South Side to Tilbury Cruise And Ferry Terminals to complete the loop. It has always turned up when i have used it but i am not a local and only use it once or twice a year at the most so i can not advise how reliable it is.

If you have a phone with suitable capacity (best not to assume that everyone does), keep an eye on the bustimes.org website on the day.

https://bustimes.org/services/99-tilbury-ferry-to-tilbury-ferry will take you direct to that service, and if you click on "Map" it will show you where the bus is at that moment, based on tracking the ticket machine. It's a one bus service, so if it shows as "one bus tracking" then it should be operating.

It's important to note that as with all tracking websites it is dependent on the data being available, and no bus tracking doesn't necessarily mean it isn't running, and there is a small lag (so if it looks very close as you get to the bus stop it may already be past you, depending on where it pings), but it's a handy tool.
