Just a thought, as the Great Escape starts tomorrow do you think Chiltern will accept the GE ticket from Moor St to Marylebone ? If so might make a special journey.
Read here http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=59583
Everything you need to know is here http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/passenger_services/maps/divroutes/LM alternative routes.pdf
According to NRES LM are running an almost normal service bar one through Birmingham service so no reason for any Great Escape passenger to not use LM. However if I remember from an earlier thread Virgin have already said that in the event of ANY type of disruption they will not accept Great Escape which does fly in the face of the new so called inter-operator disruption ticket acceptance pact.
Please forgive me if I am repeating myself but just to clarify, if the disruption is in operation tomorrow and though certain LM trains are running to Euston will it definitely be possible to travel from Moor St to Marylebone on Chiltern?
@LondonMidland said:No acceptance by others now things are back together again.
Where have they said that?
Virgin will accept them during disruption, as we will accept their tickets. Virgin have promoted the fact they aren't normally valid quite well through the use of warning posters, but that is just under normal circs.
I was only quoting your own words in thread http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=58980 on 24 Jan at 2058!!!!
"VT have reminded LM that they will not honour these tickets, even in the event of disruption."
So are you now saying you were wrong?
VT are making quite clear on NRE and Twitter that they will accept LM tickets between Birmingham and Euston. This is not qualified in any way. Therefore a LM Great Escape ticket (which is a LM ticket) is valid today on VT as advertised. If any TM refused the GE ticket and proceedings were issued they would get nowhere!
