91119 is also doing a test run light loco, 0Z91 0930 ex Bounds Green. Blunt end leading for half presumably.

Sounds like this is a move to remove the scheduled stabling of mk4 sets overnight at Craigentinny. With it there will be the gradual demise of loco/mk4 set knowledge away from Leeds and King's Cross etc, with depots such as Newcastle and Edinburgh having little or no booked work. It's fine until you need to swap sets or do a vice turn to Newcastle or Scotland.

Took the 1330 yesterday from Edinburgh , likely my last LNER 91 ride.

Spotted 91121 and 82221 (on separate train sets) at the Bounds Green depot, the latter peaking out from the shed.

therefore mean only those 2 trains are Class 91 & Mk4 monday to friday, or do they also run on Saturdays? Also how long is that expected to continue for?

I don't think you saw 82221 - this was withdrawn and scrapped following the Great Heck accident almost 20 years ago.

It was pretty much destroyed - there was a photo of the remains in the accident report, and it wasn't even recognisable as a DVT.

If I recall correctly, the current diagrams last until 4th September. I'm not sure if these diagrams also apply on Saturdays of if they're only for weekdays.

I've created a thread for people to discuss trips on LNER Class 91s (either for people to plan future trips or report back on trips they have made) here:
https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/trips-on-lner-class-91s.207639/

I also split posts discussing the idea for re-liveried Azumas to:
https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...ets-re-liveried-with-special-liveries.207640/

For diagrams, please use:
https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/remaining-lner-class-91-services.177004/
Sweet - thank you kindly!

Helpful info. What is the situation with walk up tickets and seat reservations for LNER at the moment?

All passengers need seat reservations.
So if the booking engine shows Std Class as 'full up' I take it that means the allocation of reservable seats is used and they dont want anyone else on board? Even though every liklihood of no shows of course.

How does weekend 1st work at the moment?

bear in mind the info came from a tweet, Before you book seats, not cast iron from LNER. Mind you it was Pip Dunn who is usually in the know.

Thanks - yes, which of course is why walk up is important / useful. Tho we live in extraordinary times and that has to be considered.

This info has also been widely shared on a Facebook group for fans of the 91s. Anecdotally this appears to be run largely by those 'in the know', so I imagine these are indeed the plans as things stand. The end of an era.

Ah, sorry - that two 91/MkIV sets are scheduled to operate consecutive services from King's Cross to Edinburgh and back this coming Saturday, with the last planned use of a 91/MkIV set on the King's Cross - Edinburgh route on Friday 4 September.

With ref to info about next week being last Class 91s through to Edinburgh does anyone have an up to date list of Class 91 ECML diagrams like this previous helpful post for the week ahead.

I assume on the weekdays there is the one service each way to Edinburgh as mentioned above (post #1069) but assume some 91s on Leeds / York services too?

(apols if this should be in diagrams thread but with diagrams mentioned above I've posted it here - happy to see this moved if appropriate)
