Don’t you mean “in numerical order”? ;)
No he means alphabetical I think, ie coach A then B etc. If it was numerical the first/Pullman opens would come first being 11xxx before 12xxx.

Also 82205 is apparently staying with LNER, in what capacity I'm not sure.

I've attached the May 2020 Diagrams for LNER, taken from a recent Freedom of Information Request, link below.

Bear in mind that these are yet to operate in full, as LNER are still running a reduced service due to COVID.

Note that there are only 6 x Mk4 diagrams from May, which reduces to 3 upon the introduction of the last 801/2's.

From a post elsewhere on this forum, I understand that this week it has been confirmed that Mk4s will run York & Leeds workings only from mid-September, which aligns with the three remaining diagrams - BN401 to BN403.

On the basis that there are still 8 full sets with LNER at present, I expect another 3 or 4 will go into storage in the coming months.

Outline of the final 3 x Mk4 diagrams from September below, for anyone interested.

BN401
1D02 - 06.33 Kings Cross to Leeds
Empty to Neville Hill, returning later to run
1A49 - 19.16 Leeds to Kings Cross
1N36 - 23.00 Kings Cross to York

BN402
1A04 - 06.05 Leeds to Kings Cross
1N81 - 09.06 Kings Cross to York
1Y84 - 12.02 York to Kings Cross
1N87 - 15.06 Kings Cross to York
1Y90 - 18.02 York to Kings Cross

BN403
1Y00 - 04.40 York to Kings Cross
1D06 - 08.33 Kings Cross to Leeds
1A26 - 11.15 Leeds to Kings Cross
1D17 - 14.03 Kings Cross to Leeds
1A41 - 16.45 Leeds to Kings Cross
1D30 - 19.33 Kings Cross to Leeds

That'll teach me to not post before I've had my coffee

Hi, yesterday I visited the bridge above the postal sidings at Doncaster to have a look at the 91s stored there. There were eight present, 91118 leading 102, so I assume the rest are in the same order as already noted on this thread. The questions I have are; does anybody know where 121/126 are stored, as they were nowhere to be seen around the yard? Also is there any reasoning behind only 118 and 104 being the only two locos in the line-up of eight that have lost their branding?

Thanks

That is a very tiny use of 91s, but I guess it’s because we’re pre-December 2021, so effectively the IC225s aren’t needed yet - I guess these three basic diagrams are just to keep them alive until December 2021 when more diagrams will be taken up by them. They are retaining ten - twelve sets after all.

I assume so, otherwise that's a hellava lot of spare sets they're keeping!

One thing though - the retained sets will all be 9 Mk4+DVT, no shortening as Virgin proposed?

The evidence would suggest they aren't retaining that number of sets given that they only have nine sets on lease currently (of which one went to Worksop in the last few days). Are they hoping Eversholt still have sets available for lease in 15 months time and haven't sent them all for scrap in the meantime?

With the King’s Cross remodelling being pushed back considerably and the resulting frequency uplift also being delayed there is quite a likelihood that not all the retained 91 sets will now be needed. Of course with the dent in demand due to Covid nobody actually knows what that number is.

The retained sets will definitely be 7xMk4...

Definitely? Because since the demise of VTEC, any rumour of retained sets seemed to be for 9-car except where the idea was continuing that of VTEC's for use in Edinburgh fasts.

Presumably the idea is the same again - less weight to get similar acceleration to Azumas. Do you know which two coaches they are taking out - a First and a Standard perhaps?

It appears BN10 has already been stood down.82205 and 12214 were removed from the set on Saturday and replaced by 82224 and 12200.So expect this one to transfer to Worksop later in the week.

The intention is to keep less than the originally anticipated 10-12 sets (irrespective of length)

Does anyone have any idea of what’s happening with 91110? I know it failed at craigentinny and got dragged back to Bounds Green, is it being fixed or has it been withdrawn?
Thanks in advance!

Awaiting confirmation as to if an exam will be authorised. May not be out for a while.

91106 has just failed on 1E04 at Hambleton Jncs.
Been informed we are awaiting the Thunderbird from Newcastle as the Doncaster one is currently being used.
Edit: Actual rescue loco was 47815, not a 67.

.
They are in Belmont yard alongside 321 903 and the 322's. Photo on the Flickr page of DBS60100 a few days ago.
Not sure of copyright so no link.

yes, it was then cancelled at Doncaster with the stock taken to bounds green by 67028, with the 47 returning to Gascgoine Wood.

91 125 did a test run last night and is now apparently a spare in the LNER fleet. Anyone have any further info?

Explains why I haven't seen them in a while. Guess if LNER decide not to fix them they'll be sent to the NRM as static exhibits.
It’s up to Eversholt if they get fixed or not, not LNER.

Whilst that is true a leasing company cannot force a TOC to fix them. LNER could refuse to fix them and pay the consequences, although TOCs tend not to do that as it burns bridges with the ROSCOs it has been known to occur, especially if the consequence of not spending on the repair is more than the penalty for not doing so.
