Hi. Am slightly baffled by the LNER website which I use for most of my tickets. Recently I've started booking e-tickets for local journeys in the London area (I have a Freedom Pass), largely because my local station machine is often out of order making it impossible to collect paper tickets. Normally I print the ticket at home just in case my phone goes wrong. I've just tried to book a journey on the Chiltern line for today (anytime return) and the LNER site won't let me choose e-ticket as an option, only collect at station. Has there been a recent change?

No, but unless you provide actual details of the ticket you are trying to get as an eTicket, no-one is going to be able to help much.

CCST (Credit card style ticket) and PRT (Printer roll ticket) are the different types of physical ticket.

ToD refers to ticket on departure, where you'd type in a code on the machine to collect tickets you've purchased online.

In essence, that particular journey doesn't have e-tickets available as an option as Chiltern haven't enabled it.

I suspect that's because West Ruislip is a London Underground station, so the gateline doesn't have barcode readers fitted. Similar would probably apply for South Ruislip and Amersham.

Presumably this is because West Ruislip is a London Underground station. Chiltern do seem to offer it on Smartcard on their own app though.
