I am sure there are local attractions close to where people live that they have never visited for various reasons, maybe they have just not just got round to it, or are just not interested. It could be anything for example Museams, Zoos & Wildlife parks, Theme parks, Nature reserves, Heritage railways, Historic buildings etc.

The closest one to me that I have never visited is probably the Harry Potter Studios near Watford. I have also never visited Woburn Abbey/Safari Park despite it only being around 20 miles from where I live.

At the reasonably nearby Trafford Centre in Manchester, have never been to the "Chill Factore" (indoor ski slope).

I’ve never had tours of either the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham or the Dungeness nuclear power plant, despite my love of breweries and the history of nuclear power!

There are quite a few attractions on the Isle of Wight, but I can’t think of a single one that I have visited in the twenty years I have lived here. I have used some of the Open Top Bus Routes, but usually only when I am making a journey anyway and aren’t hurried. I did visit a few sites during holidays in the 1970s.

Never been to Adventure Wonderland or Farmer Palmers that are not too far away, also locally Sandworld but that's a small attraction. Wouldn't mind going to the Royal Signals Museum in Blandford but haven't been there yet and haven't been to either the Teddy Bear or Dinosaur museums in Dorchester, but been to all their other ones.

Shibden Hall (former home of Anne Lister of Gentleman Jack fame) on the outskirts of Halifax, although I’ve been to the park and grounds loads of times

Have you never been on the Isle of Wight steam railway?

I have never been punting on the River Cam.

Fortunately the best way to appreciate Ely Cathedral is the view from the train.

I live approximately equidistant from both Alton Towers & Drayton Manor Theme Parks, both within my home county. I’ve never been to either.

Lived in Doncaster for 63 years but never been to Conisbrough Castle which is within Doncaster metropolitan Borough, maybe I'll get round to it when I get my bus pass

Have never visited/ascended the Titan Crane (as it's known in Clydebank itself and in Glasgow, despite there being 3 other such surviving cranes on the Clyde) in my hometown, 3-and-a-half miles from my front door. What makes this particularly egregious on my part is that I've had a life-long, major interest in the historic shipbuilding industry on the River Clyde, particularly in the former John Brown & Company yard it's presence is the most visible reminder of.

Though to be fair to myself, it's been closed for a while now as the area around it has been/is continuing to be extensively redeveloped after nearly 20 years of moribund dereliction. Maybe when it eventually reopens, I'll finally pay it a visit.

Never been to the Royal Armouries in Leeds, just under 10 miles away.
Also never ridden the Middleton Railway or the Kirklees Light Railway which are both a similar distance away.

HMS Warrior is one fairly local attraction I’ve never been to. I’m not even sure if you can buy admission to Warrior only, if you’ve done everything else already…

I’ve visited most tourist attractions in East Dorset and West Hampshire, although I generally did so during my childhood. I find that as I get older, visiting local attractions becomes less exciting as they have already been visited over and over.

A few local attractions I have not yet visited include Buckler’s Hard, Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum, Broadlands (near Romsey) and the New Forest Wildlife Park.

The Spinnaker Tower is not a million miles from me but I've never visited. I'd actually find it interesting (as I enjoy distant views and working out what I can see) but I've just never got round to it.

Strangely I've visited the Space Needle in Seattle, very very much further away!

Same here. Never went to the Unicorn, Science Centre or Verdant Works either

Now I've been in Glasgow for over 4 years and I've only just visited the Barras market!

In the mid 1970s, when (then) HMS Discovery was moored in London, I spent a weekend based aboard c/o Scouts. This included a visit to the rifle range under London Bridge.

Have managed to do both, though obviously the Science Centre itself was frequented more often due to the simple fact it was actually open more than 50% of the time, I'd be straining to say the same about the tower. I did manage to ascend/descend the tower without a major failure occurring on one visit though. It's a shame the tower has been such an embarrassing failure, all things considered.

Is there really a tourist attraction with that name? o_O

(Readers of VIZ will understand why it might not be the smartest choice of name for a family-oriented business)

I've lived within walking distance of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton for nearly 35 years but have never been inside.
