Sector 4 which is EWS, so 67021 and 67030. The 37s are coming back to London tomorrow with the ECS from today's charter, thats if it doesn't do the dirty like it did last time and return overnight.

Now appears that the High Summer SO Weymouth relief for FGW will be
67-powered not 37s! No details yet, but expect back off Weymo at approx
1720.

Sorry Guys no 37s:sad:

Are u sure there is going to be a loco hauled high summer relief to Weymouth this year. I don't think the same stock is going to be available, from what I hear the stock is going to be used on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday train from Bristol to Minehead using top n tail 31's !!! But I could be wrong.

Yup, but I do see 31's posiable, if they want it to have anything to do with FGW, as there is still 9 Westbury drivers 31 trained

I dont think FGW are involved

Right, in which case it is EWS orginised, if so, it won't be 31's will it

Not EWS either. I have heard Mainline mentioned who own 31454 and another 31 but I dont know any other details

Mainline own 31452, 31454, 31468 and 31601 (the original Pinky).

Nemesis have 31128 only.

The other ex-FM 31s have been snapped up by RVE or Network Rail.

I would prefer Tractors to Peds, would take me back to my day, when Tractors used to propel me (a member of the bucket & spade brigade) out to Weymouth8-)
Shame 601 has been de-branded, that would of been brill

I find it difficult to see why when FGW cant supply enough stock for the Portsmouth to cardiff service 363 days a year why they are organising special trains for people travelling to the Seaside a few days a year. Wouldnt it be simpler to make the trains compulsory reservation or run buses as a relief?

You don't understand the way tourism works:

Nobody cares about the locals and we are merely here providing the royalty that is hoilday makers with a good time. They make us pay higher council tax, make the councils spend stupid amounts of money on tourist related schemes and are fairly ignorant in many cases.

Well said. Same up here, as we are in Walker Central here, so loads of walkers pass through the town. Which is probably why we pay £1100 a year on council tax alone...For a little house...:x

Alternatively, have no tourists, and you can have the delights of boarded up guest houses on the sea front, empty shops, tourist attractions gone bust and plenty of unemployment!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo basicly then we know about as much as we do now when we first laid eyes upon the thread, absolutely buggerall, apart from important lessons in why we need Tourisim... Correct or not?

Why dont we take five, sit back enjoy the sunsets and then see what happens, instead of summarising what we wish would happen.

The deal for the Weymouth loco hauled is between FGW and the EWS/Riviera charter alliance, as it was for the recent footexes and it will be for Glastonbury. So not sure where the peds come in........... Class 67s would sound possible.

Somerset Council I believe that was, or at least that's what I heard a while ago.

These 37s working to Weymouth is getting less likely every day I reckon. It's been weeks since these people were saying that it was going to happen. If it was going to, something would have been said by now!

According to "The Man Near The Top"- LHCS for Weymouth / Glasto has been put out to tender. Who is providing it and what traction will depend on the winner. The "Man Near The Top" also added that he had asked for a straight answer about the whole LHCS situation but nobody would give one to him....
