Hello, can any freight drivers please comment on the quality of the lodgings provided when you're required to stay away from home and how lodging works in general, do you get extra pay etc?
Colas are recruiting apprentice drivers so I'm wondering how it all works!
TIA.

If it's the same as the tampers hotel with breakfast paid by company also food and drink allowance per day was £45.00 not sure if the freight side pay extra for lodging shifts.

Regan is correct. £45 per shift allowance for food and soft drinks, but nothing more as in a lodging allowance, basically you do it for free when they tell you.

Quality of hotels varies, the people doing the booking will book you anywhere they like if the nearest and/or best place is a couple of quid over budget. For instance I was working out of a certain location, the hotel was 30 miles away in a different county.
