I was passing through Charing Cross recently and noticed that the shops and toilet block in front of platforms 1-4 had gone.

When did that happen, after February 2012 according to streetview?
Where is the entrance to the toilets now?
Are there further changes imminent?

Thanks for that.

I'm trawling through Ian Visit's archive when I have odd moments, haven't got to that date yet.

It was definitely after Easter when it happened. Late April or early May, I think.

It happened earlier this year and was done to allow passenger waiting space with a changed ticket barrier line layout. There is a definite and very obvious kink in the line in front of platforms 3 and 4 now!

Ah its all falling into place now :P. Back in June I used Charing Cross one morning for the first time ever. I was impressed at the airy and spacious layout of the concourse, and also remember the odd barrier placement clearly, which is now explained .

What just a tie and no other clothes?:D

I could pretend it was a deliberate misspelling - did realise after it was posted but thought I'd wait and see. Actually, was with a lady friend when a visit to Knickerbox on Liverpool Street station became a matter of some urgency, although I did get some strange looks from the assistants!
