I know that a post 3 years was asking about the validity of the ticket to use via Euston.
May I know if it is still valid, especially when wanting to do a London Bridge - St Pancras - (walk) - Euston - Bletchley - Bedford journey over this weekend?

Trainline certainly seems to think it is, though you may well get arguments from staff anyway as it's a bit of an odd thing to do.

However if it is a single journey it's slightly cheaper with a split at Bletchley (because Euston-Bletchley is single fare priced but fares on Thameslink aren't yet).

Be warned the full Marston Vale service (and the £1 fares, making a split even cheaper) aren't until Monday so you may prefer to do it next Saturday. (Remember there's no Sunday service).

An alternative (probably quicker) would be to go to MKC and take the X5 to Bedford for £2.

I am going for some outdoor activities, thus needing the "open jaw" journey on both lines. Though I would be really worried to deal with the Euston dragons on a "London Thameslink" ticket.
But thanks for the additional advice also.

The Euston "dragons" are Avanti staff, you won't encounter them when boarding a WMT service. However I suspect the gateline wouldn't open for that, and I don't know what the WMT staff would make of it. It does appear to be valid, but because it's a bit odd I could see you getting hassle. It's a shame Bedford<->London isn't single fare priced yet as in that case I'd just recommend splitting it up to minimise any hassle.

If you really, really want to do it a good bet might be booking it online with an itinerary. Just put "via Bletchley" in on any site.

It's more common than you might think for these tickets (and Bedford to Z1-6 Travelcards) to show up at Euston - and the few times I've tried, they've worked the gateline, though this was a few years ago now.
