It asks for a reference from every place whether it be from your time in education or previous jobs.

For my education, I just put down the schools email and phone number as I don’t have access to any of my teachers emails.

I’ve only had one previous job which I was in for about a month and still had to give a reference.
I can put an email down for each place, but doubt they will remember me and as I said, doubt that there is anyone else left.

Only gets worse mate. After you submit the DBS check, it asks you to provide your bank details.

So it matches the account in which you have gotten paid in from your current and previous jobs. They want to see your payment into your account from your current and previous jobs

i just gave them a call. I gave a referee who turns out does not work at the school anymore and I let them know and they said it is fine. Important ones are your previous employments. They emailed the HR services for all my previous employees.

i just spoke to them earlier, they just want to confirm the dates you have been there for - not really much in terms of yourself but just to see if the dates you provided in terms of employment matches their system!

I did my role play last week. Without giving much away, some scenarios, you are doomed to fail, as so I did. The scenario I got, if you don't have insider information you are going to fail because the little information they did give me was practically not going to help you solve the issue. On top of all thaylt they had written you must try and resolve this yourself, so the first thing that goes through your head is don't involve anyone else, so confusing, I was going to fail from the start and so are the others who don't have insider info. . Why would they do this to you???

Last week, I had a roleplay scenario that included lost property, vaping, alcohol, an angry customer, and a ticket issue all in one. I didn't notice that the lost bag was under the table, so always check your surroundings. The actor mentioned she received a call from the station saying the bag was found and to come collect it, but I didn't know where the bag was. At the end, the actor told me the bag was under the table, and there were many bags there. You need to ask which color bag to return the correct one. The actor kept shouting and asking how long it would take.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice the bag under the table. I addressed vaping and alcohol not being allowed, and the actor asked why they weren't allowed. I handled those parts, but in the end, I failed. I'm sharing this update to remind you to look around the room. The assessor may give minimal information. For lost property, the sheet said it takes 15 working days, which was confusing. However, the roleplay is easy if you check your surroundings and provide correct answers.

Wow you had it all, i might aswell tell you what happened. I thought the more they test you, the more likely you pass. I got lost property and vaping. So the lady comes in the room all agitated, said she left her backpack on the train and all her personal important things were inside. As on the sheet you have to email lost property and it could take upto 15 days so I explained that. She said she needed it right now. Also it says you need to try and solve the issue without getting anyone else involved, I just didnt know what else to do, so took her number and went to the supervisor and pretended to get him to contact the driver or last station got totally messed up myself and then she started vaping told her couldn't do it and then got a phone call that they found her bag and she had to get to a station which I showed her on the map and that was the end. I later asked someone what I had to do in a situation like that and realised without knowing an insider anyone who gets that scenario will fail.

Best way to deal with this scenario is to ensure she gets her bag back.
Ask her what train, direction and where on the train she was sitting.
What was in the bag.( anything to link it to her)
contact control using the imaginary radio that you have to contact the next few stations and ask if it has been handed in. Then pretend you got an imaginary answer back from control that the bag has been found at X station and they need to confirm her name before you send her to the station.

Regarding vaping you need to inform her that vaping is not allowed on any stations, we have kids and elderly people at the station and it could trigger the smoke alarms/sensors and cause an evacuation.
If she is on the paid side you can let out to go outside and vape

Well it's alright for you as you already work in that field. For someone like me who has no experience in that field, I am going to fail. How am I suppose to know contact others by radio and find out where the bag is???
I'm sure your going to pass you have alot of knowledge, good luck. Ps there where 5 of us, the 1st 3 failed including me, don't know what happened to the other 2. One was there for the 3rd time.

One more question you work as a CSA already did you get trained to deal with a situation like my scenario??

Lizzy line is a TFL concession so we are trained to the same level.
If you really want to work as a CSA you can apply to work on the Lizzy line
They should have vacancies very soon as a huge amount of staff are joining LU

I got this same scenario not too sure if you passed or failed but I’ll add my own things I done which helped me pass. She stated she was on the brown line which I clocked was the Bakerloo. The first thing I wanted to do was introduce myself I offered her a seat and asked her if she needed any water as she was very irritated. After I then asked her about the journey what time she got in the train , what colour the bag was did she have an Apple air tag to possibly track it blah blah blah. Then I pretended to call each station from elephant and castle (where she got on) to Oxford Circus this showed I’m going above and beyond. Then she started vaping I explained that you couldn’t do it in the station but if you want you can go outside and I will stay working on this. She put it away without much of a fuss. I explained as a final thing we will need to do the form which could take up to 15 days to get the bag back that’s when she got a call saying her bag was at Baker Street. End

No I didn’t have knowledge, I just knew that I had to go above and beyond to help the customer. I’ve previously worked in customer service roles so I knew that just talking about the form she would have to fill out wouldn’t help the situation at all. I tried to create as many solutions as possible just so they could see I’m actively trying to assist. Yeah I passed the interview aswell think it was quite easy tbh I just didn’t stop talking

They still haven't asked for my pre-booked holidays, and still on the reed screening.

What point will they ask for it?

Also do they give you a list of start dates, or do they just give you one? But if you can't make it (as you have prebooked holiday) what do you do?

Same, I’ve got the references all completed. Not sure what else is left to be done. I have heard it may take up to 4 weeks.

In terms of the start dates, I’ve heard they do call you up and give you a list of options if any to start your training, but I believe it is some notice before you actually start.

I’m guessing in terms of any pre booked holidays you will have to let your training manager know when you start your training.

Everything I’ve said are things I’m sure I’ve seen within these posts.

The Forum has become aware of an increase in members encouraging other members to contact them privately to discuss some topics. These discussions are largely taking place on the forum (e.g. using the Conversation feature) but we’ve noted some whereby the conversation has been encouraged from the outset to be away from the forum.

We encourage all conversation to take place on the public forum, to allow others to benefit from the advice and discussion. We acknowledge that some aspects may be better suited to discuss on a 1:1 basis, but we do encourage the use of the forum’s platform to do this wherever possible.

We have also been made aware of people contacting forum members via private messages inviting a payment to be made for provision of information relating to recruitment processes. If you are contacted please report such private message, in confidence, to the staff team, either by using the report function if it’s on the forum, or by the contact form. You can also start a conversation with any of the Jobs & Careers Moderators or anyone else from the full staff team.

For me they sent the online assessment the next day after applying online. It just varies to be honest.

Ok so i've passed the Mindgage + Dilemmas part and was invited to book an interview which is at ashfield, im guessing its written assessment + role play? Also the document provided for me to read is just 3 pages with it being a ticket only is that correct?

If this is your first assessment at Ashfield house it will be for your written assessment. The role play is only done on another day if you pass the written.

Hi Tony, i applied to the night tube csa1. I completed my online test on Wednesday, when do you think i will receive an email saying if i am successful or not? Also how long did it take you to find out if you were through to the assessment centre stage?

I had gotten an email within 24hrs after completing the online test that i progressed to the written assessment stage and a link to book it, but judging by what everyone else says timing varies a lot due to the high volume nature of the job process
