I put "she" in error. I was writing an email at the same time and wrote half my email in the message box before deleting and restarting. Multitasking for the win!
Although perhaps veering off topic, the habit of calling motor vehicles "she" traces back to ships/boats which historically are given female names. Tbh i have no issue with it and often do myself, some may brand it sexist, i don't really think it is.
Without going too much more off topic, the word "she" should also have been deleted but when I selected (with my mouse) all and delete, "she" was left in there, and "she" was in refference to a dog not a human too. As I said, an error. Some might be a bit concerned if you were writing an email about a female of any species being 'done', but that's your own business!
haha it all makes sense now! Lothian Buses TdC. World domination is ahead! lolHe's thinking of starting a bus service on Tristan da Cunah- the capitals also called Edinburgh!!
a few weeks, lothian said couple more at central then its to East Coast for a bitHow long do we have the Evora on loan for? It's still not showing up on tracker but was given fleet no 299. 299 does not show up but 5005 shows up in the equator.
Thanks for the update on this.Few fleet moves this week:
827/829-833 CE to LS
702, 710, 712-716, 718, 722 & 725 Withdrawn
Only 14 55 Plate B7s remain, those being 703-708, 711, 717, 724, 734, 737-739 & 746
They were sold by Metroline to London City Tours where they were converted to single door and partial open top.only 5 that didnt come to lothian, BF60 UUC/E/G/H/J they went to a London tour company
London City Tours merged/combined or were taken over (I don't know which) by the Original London Sightseeing Tour in mid 2018. These vehicles have been up for sale since September 2018. London City Tours also obtained several similar vehicles from Go Ahead London which were also converted to open top and single door. They came from the same batch as Lothian's former Go Ahead double deckers and were also advertised for sale in September 2018. I do not know if they were sold. Can't see those being sold either given they were only converted about a year ago
not sure, might be damaged or faulty, terrible batch of vehicles so im happy theres one less of the roadRoute 27 and 37 having B8Ls again on them again for 3rd week in a row.
Also, any idea why 1122 has not been out in a week?
Can anyone clarify what operators licences Lothian are actively using
Is it 'Edinburgh Bus Tours Limited' for all the tours fleet?
'Lothian Country Buses Limited' for the East Coast Buses fleet?
'Lothian Buses Limited' for everything else?
What is the legal entity for the coach fleet?
Lothian City and Green Arrow: Lothian Buses Limited
Lothian Country: Lothian Country Buses Limited
East Coast Buses: East Coast Buses Limited
Edinburgh Bus Tours: Edinburgh Bus Tours Limited
Lothian Motorcoaches: Lothian Coaches Limited

This^ although the 43 is still on the Lothian license I believe. Or was until the service changes.
...
It still is under the Lothian license, I don’t see it changing since they had no plans to move the 43 to Livingston. the chances of that changing are very slim at this point
Two XLB'S on route 41 today.

Bus drivers in Edinburgh will take indefinite strike action from the end of next week, unless they accept a last-minute offer in a long-running dispute with management.
A total of 1,700 drivers will be balloted on Friday on a deal which includes a 2.7% pay rise.
It also includes new measures to address concerns over bullying.
If the offer is rejected, action will start at 03:00 on 2 August, the first day of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Unite has blamed the dispute on "poor workplace relations and a hostile culture at Lothian Buses".
In June, staff voted for strike action. More than 63% of union members took part in the ballot, with about 91.3% backing a walkout.
Talks at the arbitration service Acas resulted in a deal which was rejected by the workforce. The revised offer followed further discussions which took place last week.
'Good offer'
Officials from Unite have recommended that its members accept the revised deal.
Regional industrial officer Lyn Turner said: "It's a good offer and a better deal than the last time. I'm hoping that they will accept it."
Lothian Buses managing director Richard Hall said: "We have had positive discussions with Unite which has now led to a deal being agreed between Lothian and union officials.
"They have agreed this will be taken forward to their members with a recommendation to accept the proposal.
"It is the hope of both parties that this agreement can be passed in order to avoid disruption at one of the busiest times of year in the city."
New offer to end the dispute, Inc 2.7% driver pay rise, Unite recommending members accept, vote on Friday:

So in short. Keep the drivers quiet about the bullying from up top by bribing them...

Yes, how dare Lothian offer an above-inflation pay rise to their drivers - they must be up to something shady with their offer - even when they do something that looks good they must be criticised!
(to put things in context, First in South Yorkshire have been offering drivers an extra eighteen pence per hour on the condition of the loss of five days of annual leave - so if Lothian look like the bad guys then some people really need to look at how much worse other bits of the industry are)

Regarding basing drivers at Shandwick Place, would they only pick up buses already in service and hand over in service? Or would they book on and then go to pick up a bus from elsewhere?
