Are the ex London Lothian Country and maybe the Lothian Buses (Fleeting from 1000 to 1050) B9TL's Euro 5 or 6.

Because I remember them getting upgraded or something, i can't see them being euro 6 now but the don't seem like they would have been Euro 4 while in service in London.

Because the upgrade was either E4 to E5
Or E5 to E6.
It just doesn't seem that they would have been ever Euro 4, i might be wrong.

If I remember correctly all B9TLs are Euro 5 natively. I'm not aware of the ex Londoners getting any exhaust treatment during refurb but I await to be corrected on either!

The Ex-London examples all date from 2010/11 so should be Euro 5.

I saw two unidentified B7RLEs, one in swoosh livery one in fleet of the future (which was a 57 plate) both on trade plates heading Seafield way about 3pm today having just come off the bypass. Think that would be from that number range?
will have come from Newbridge, have have been stored there and the others at Marine

I think only the 2010 onwards ones were new as euro 5 with pre-2010 ones being new as euro 4 but upgraded to 5.

the Ex Tower Transit (1001/2) and Ex Go-Ahead (1000/1141-53) ones were already euro 5 but the Ex Metroline ones (1003-1050) were Euro 4 upgragded to euro 5 when they came to Lothian

Ah okay - I knew the changeover from euro 4 to 5 was in 2010 but wasn't sure how long the overlap period was between the two.

Euro 6 buses came on the market around 2013 but there were still euro 5 E200/Metrocities etc being sold on 67 plates.

20942 has been delivered back to Musselburgh and is almost ready for work.
Wow, more than three years after the incident (17th September 2017) meaning the vehicle has spent nearly a third of its existence in repair!

Not a criticism, just a reinforcement of how long it can take!

A year waiting on decisions from insurance. A year discussing its future and tear down and a year trying to get parts from Wright...

I'm sure there is a moral to the story somewhere!

It will also count as the longest out of livery ECB vehicle :) The Motorcoach B9TLs will need to stick around for years to beat that!

I think one of the Motorcoaches may be leaving East Coast, too!

Space is tight and it can be put to good use elsewhere?
Back when 20942 was damaged, when ECB eventually got the B7's they got an extra one to cover for 20942. Now that its back, they shouldn't need the extra B9.

That being said, a portion of the ECB fleet is stored at Marine and the back yard at North Berwick so it shouldn't be a problem.

Theres a number of ECB fleet allocated at Marine, it isn't any specific vehicles, but there is an allocation of i believe 6.

Interesting.

Yeah I think it was 20794 that joined last to cover 20942 as it went into fleet of the future (FOTF) ECB colours and not the 'your not staying here long enough to get FOTF' sort of classic variant that 20795-800 wore.

Think that puts it as the only B7TL in any of the fleets to gain FOTF?

So now that 20942 is finished can we now concentrate on the new stock coming into service? Joking...
It’s good they managed to repair it though with what looked like extensive damage to the untrained eye

At time of its unscheduled modification:

Not my image, taken from (and rehosted) from source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-41307971

I'm certain if it's returning to service it will be in full ECB Fleet of the Future now.
Aye that would make sense, i thought it may have not been painted to EastCoastBuses livery so soon.

Thank you :)

20942 did carry said fleet number before its incident.

It currently holds 942 due to an issue with the vinyl cutter. But I believe the plan is for it to gain its full fleet number soon.

yep 795-800 went across in July-August that year then after 20942s bridge strike in September 794 was sent across in FOTF and was the only B7TL in that

On the last fleet list that lothain did it was down as 942 instead 20942 think we will need to wait and see witch one it keeps
