OK seeing as djw1981 asked for the debate somewhere else ... here it is.

I once used Windows. Nick W converted me to Mac.

I now solely use Mac except for BVE (MacBook) and MSTS (main machine).

Why do you need 6 PCs?

My MacBook is my main computer. I also have an XP laptop which I use as a file server (it'll get retired from that once I get a NAS box), for running torrents and a few other things I can't/don't use the Mac for (eg BVE).

I'm on a MacBook now, and i've gotta admit, I like it ;)

I'm going to set up Windows XP on a partition tomorrow, but thats only really so other members of my family can use the OS they're used to and so that I can run programs that aren't compatible with the Mac OS.

Post Strike / Courier overload permitting I assume :)

I have a PC Laptop (IBM Thinkpad) mostly for Uni, WP, Spreadsheets, Email, Web
I have a PC for home video editing / sound editing
Use a macbook (not mine) for sound recording or a custom multiple G5 based recorder capable of 200 lines of audio simultaneously (which is scarily big and expensive)
Use a weird G5 with many harddrives for video editing / recording

Loader - one thing.

That video is now 4 years old. Slightly biased too.

Having never used a Mac, I can't vote....

So saying that, if anyone want's to buy me a MacBook or an iMac, I'll happily try it out (hint, hint.) ;)

To be fair the video is funny but I would never base a decision on what system was better on either a) videos or b) random internet comments, particularly from people who are zealots on either side. there is a middle happy ground where we use both and they talk to each other....

I have one PC and that's it (you guys with 16 Macs, 58 PCs and a couple of laptops make me feel soooo inferior :p). Anyway, it does what I want it to do so I don't see any reason to change.

Still an Apple product ;)

Loader uses that video as an excuse against any and all Apple products.

Both. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. For a PC I prefer a Windows based PC, because I find it easy to use for what I do. But for a notebook, Mac's are much better. Most now have wireless built in, and can do much more in a shorter space of time compared to a Windows based laptop alternative.

I wish people would stop bashing Mac's though. They take time to grow on you. I hated them until I got to try out a shiny new Macbook a few months ago. :)

I'm not Loader, and it was me you were replying to. I never said anything negative about any Apple products - just that I personally have no need for anything except my PC which does all I need it to.

Never tried before an Mac but I just love it. Our schools do have Macs but not all, all Mac comes with Parallels, since they used it for gaming. I hope I can get a iPod Nano 2 GB by end of this year as Christmas gift. And if I have sufficient fund (which I doubt so) I might get an iPhone. It costs SG$1200, 8GB (estimate price) but I might expect the price drop twice. Once by Apple than Mobile service provider since Singaporeans are not really loaded at the first place. The average pay is 4000 - 6000 pound, 12 000 - 24 000 SG$.
