Hi

What is says in the tiltle, getting off the 0520 from Nottingham getting to Manchester at 0734, and I want to change on to the 0745 to Edinburgh. They *should* both go from the same platform right? Do you think thats enough time to change?

Yes, the 0520 has to use platform 13/14 unless it decides to terminate at Manchester Piccadilly, and the 0745 can't use anything else so you should be fine providing there are no delays! Additionally, if there are delays and you're on AP, you will be allowed on the next train because the minimum connection time is 10 minutes at MAN, and you have 11 :)

Jordy's beaten me to it. :)

I fully agree with his response, although i'm very surprised that the connection time at Man Picc is only 10 minutes, and not 15.

Going off topic..

I was once told by a VT TM that the minimum connecting time at Glasgow Central is 20 minutes (this was around March 2008) , and because i had only left 16 minutes between trains (as the Nationalrail site specifically states 15 minutes), i didn't have the guarantee of being allowed to use the next available train with my AP FC ticket.

Luckily the station staff spoke to the TM of the next available train for me, and she let me travel on the Super Voyager without problems, all be it in SC, which i was very grateful for. I was just very annoyed about the disparity between the connection times quoted..
