Does anybody know what caused the following problems to Manchester services yesterday?:

1> 19:30 Huddersfield-Manchester running at least 25mins late from Huddersfield

2> 20:18 Manchester Piccadilly-Southport Cancelled

3> 20:37 Manchester Piccadilly-Airport Cancelled (service from Southport)

Manchester-Southport services disrupted due to a passenger requiring medical attention on a train at Wigan Wallgate.

Yes Paul it would.

I think the lines through Wallgate are bi-directional so perhaps if it was going to be a big one they could use a single platform. Though if it was just a medical emergency then they wouldn't do that.

Any idea what time this was as I left Wigan on the 12:32...
