Hello everyone
I loaded down the files for this route and the .apc extention is being used. The creater of the files states, you just have to click and the application will load onto MSTS. However Windows identifies it as an unknown extention.
I know there is software around to fix extension errors, but nothing is free and some of it is doubtful. Any solutions ? Much obliged.

I wrote to the route Creator, but he could not help me.

Cheers,
Ed Bakker

Files with a .apc extension are "Printer driver (Lotus 1-2-3)" .... :s

Are you sure this is the correct extension Ed?

I have the CD for this route somewhere ... I'll have a look on it ....

Thanks
Ryan

Hello Ryan
Thank you very much for your response. The mistake is mine. The file extension is .apk - on the Dutch train forum " Trainpoint NL" I picked up a fix it remedy, which unfortunately does not seem to work, it tells me , that I have to manually fix the registry.
Cheers.

Ahhhh - .apk files are Packaged Activity files - to install these, you need to drag and drop them onto tsunpack.exe located in Train Simulator\UTILS folder.

You do not need to fix the registry ... editing files/keys in this could cause big problems so best to leave it alone.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi Ryan,
Tsun.exe , all this business, I know have that under control. I almost have the whole route running, but am having trouble now with a few missing .ace, and .s files, these relate the platforms etc. If there is some ,who has experience with this route, I like to hear from him or her. I have also put it to the help desk of UK Train Sim.

Cheers from New Zealand

Hi Ed,

Have you got all the Platform Kits installed? Also any necessary files that the addon activity requires?

Thanks
Ryan

Hello again Ryan
Yes I have. I have a feeling that I am missing one route:
at present I have
1 Bury - Altringham
2 Picadilly - Bury
3 Depot to Altringham
4 Picadilly to Eccles
5 Snowday

I have a feeling that there is another one, but dont know the name.
When one runs install.bat there is an indication that files are missing, an
exemple would be jp1industrial.ace

I will get back to you then.

Thanks
