TfW 231s are not “on order,” the full fleet has been in service for over a year

Without wishing to cause offence, I think anyone reading these threads (701) will not disagree, but the use of the word 'farce' is perhaps not correct. Try 'shortfall', which may come across better. Remember, there may be people involved in the project looking in to sites such as this. Just a thought!
South Western Railway 90 class 701s are currently being introduced A small number of 701s are currently in revenue service, with details on the 701 thread Discussion here 2 class 707s remain at SWR There is currently no set date for their transfer to SE - A minimum of eight class 458s are due to be reintroduced to cover for the 701 farce To be reintroduced by the end of July 2024
What does that have to do with anything? If a very poor situation has occurred, to the great inconvenience of many, I do not see a reason to pretend the very poor situation isn’t a very poor situation simply to preserve the feelings of those involved in that very poor situation.Remember, there may be people involved in the project looking in to sites such as this. Just a thought!
To fill in one of the blanks for the 555s, can confirm that 7 units have been delivered.Hello all. I've been struggling to keep track of the current state of the fleet changes and tenders out for the various TOCs, and thought it might be useful to have a master thread (in the same vein as the new stations thread) to keep a track of the current and expected tenders, with links to all the various threads. I am not envisaging this to become a long discussion thread in and of itself, and instead to become more of a reference point.

Links to the tenders for SE, Chiltern, TPE and Northern have been added.
For posterity, I am quoting post 24 here, which outlines the status of the Chiltern tenders
"Chiltern actually have four potential tenders underway, though there's no guarantee of all (or any) of them going ahead:
- 25 to 70 existing vehicles - This is the Mk3 replacement contract, and theoretically due into service in 2025. - Tender notice: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/037814-2023
- 30 to 70 new battery MUs or 30 to 70 existing or converted battery MUs - Tender notices: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/026867-2022 and https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/026866-2022

@DanNCL Has been maintaining a list over on the metro thread about 555s if that's helpful.Updated January 2025, still missing confirmation on mk.5s to Chiltern, shortlist issued for Northern, looking for updated numbers of stock accepted for 555s, 701s, numbers of stock disposed for 323s, and other happenings.
Either reply here or send me a direct message if you have any definitive info to add to the table
https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...cement-awarded-to-stadler.157260/post-7113611List further updated to show 555020 entering passenger service, as well as to distinguish between units that are in use for driver training, those on test, and those not yet seen outside of Gosforth depot. Also corrected an error that had 555026 down as delivered instead of 555028, now corrected to show 555026 in Switzerland and 555028 at Gosforth.
On a recent visit to Gosforth I noticed that 555001 was completely powered down alongside long term stored Metrocars 4007 and 4037. 555001 has been in the North East for 9 months now and still not been seen out on the network. Does anyone know what the situation is with this unit?

ThereSE has all 707s
I think it's all 53 of them now isn't it?Merseyrail
At least 50 (of 53) 777s are now accepted for service, now that no 507s or 508s are in service anymore.
Thanks, now correctedI think it's all 53 of them now isn't it?
A friend of mine cleared them about a month ago.
Indeed, update now in post #41.Seems that Chiltern are to start testing the Mk5 sets with designated Class 68s
Nice oneUpdated to reflect changes named in this thread
Nice oneJust a couple of error corrections needed however:
New London North Eastern Railway CAF units' class from 879 to 897
Total number of accepted Transport for Wales (TfW) 197s from 46 to 66
Maybe also change the 756s from being "on order" to "being introduced", as TfW have all of them, just that 4 haven't yet entered service.
And now an update as of the 7/6/25:
Transport for Wales
(197s) 66/77 units accepted for service - 40/51 two car units (30/30 non-ETCS and 9/21 ETCS-fitted) and 26/26 three car units (12/12 2+2-only seating and 14/14 with a small portion of 2+1 seating)
Should that be 10/21 ETCS-fitted rather than 9/21Nice oneJust a couple of error corrections needed however:

Yes, oops. 10/21 ETCS fitted (with 197022 being the 10th), but the Original Post only splits the 197s into 2-car and 3-car, so 66/77 overall (40/51 2-car and 26/26 3-car) is correct.Should that be 10/21 ETCS-fitted rather than 9/21
or
65/77 overall and 39/51 2car
?
(197022 might be the change from 9/21 to 10/21)
Much appreciatedUpdated.
