No megabus routes run out of Wales at all now, the only one that even goes to Cardiff is the M19 run down from Glasgow. Not sure if Adventure have switched to Flixbus, can't remember seeing anything to that effect.

Used Megabus yesterday from Newcastle to London. Booked ticket via refreshed website and ticket is now QR code on the email itself.
The service was around 15 minutes late into John Dobson st and struggled to get parked. Second time on one of the new double decks volvo coaches and it was quiet for the run up the A1. Compared to the panoramas they are quieter although the air con was blowing cold air at the start of he journey and it was warm at the end.

No Adventure Megabus routes now. Megabus run very little to Wales - just three coaches per week.
All Welsh Flixbus services are run by Cymru Coaches (Swansea to Bristol Airport) or by Newport Bus (Swansea/ Cardiff to Victoria and Heathrow/ Gatwick).

I’m currently parked on Temple way in Bristol on my break with Bus Lightyear.
We’ve got about 15 interdecks in total I think.mostly 68 plates and a couple of 67 plates along with 54220 and 54211 both of which haven’t been used since the newer ones entered service.
54326 is tracking as 54220 on bus times. It is 54326 I drove it on Tuesday on the 0400 from Plymouth

Oh wow nice, you used to always get Plaxton elite I or panorama with Megabus now it’s just such a mess and they’ve reduced the network, the Volvos are nice but I do prefer the Panorama. 15 inter decks is quite a lot of they aren’t using them then I wonder what’s going to happen to them. What are the new coaches that have entered in service down by Plymouth?

@richw mentioned above that 54211 is still at Plymouth but hasn't been used since the newer Interdecks arrived.
54220 is in reserve so only used if required.

Just noticed this now.- the website is much closer to the Citylink one. Confusingly, the destinations let you choose local stops within Scotland (e.g. Edinburgh Corstorphine and not just Edinburgh Bus Station), but the results show the Citylink services with 'Fare Not Available'. Not particularly customer friendly.
The new booking engine also makes it harder to quickly see what's available from each stop (the old one would filter the destination and only show those relevant to the entered origin - if that makes sense!) and makes it harder to see prices across multiple days. A downgrade overall I'd say.
The new website is horrendous, not user friendly, constantly getting errors, other people report similar issues on Twitter (X) don’t know why the felt the need to change what was a polished and working website.

Took me an hour to book a simple Scottish internal journey on it using my screen reader. A further 15 minutes wasted by smashing out an email to them. Basically telling them how rubbish it was from my point of view. And why should I be penalised for a telephone booking in terms of cost, they need to look at that very seriously
Booked a megabus ticket last night (simple Dundee to Edinburgh) and I have to say the website was no where as easy to navigate as the old website was. Struggled on my phone and ended up using the laptop to book the ticket. But the experience wasn't much better on the laptop.

Why would anyone do that when you can just use National Express directly??
Exactly, I highly doubt anyone searching for megabus tickets are going to use NX, especially on Cross Border stuff. They're more than likely going to have the NX site/app ready and waiting.

Probably just means there's a decent range of destinations on their website, and as it's actually the Citylink website underneath it was probably trivial to do it given Citylink's new partnership with Nat Ex.
It increases the amount of destinations for Megabus giving people more options for travel including using NatEx for part journeys to places not served by Megabus. Essentially just cutting out needing to use two different booking sites but I suspect the biggest thing is to increase awareness and link up together to fend of the expansion of Fluxbus

An easy way to capitalise on the brand awareness, given that Megabus is essentially dead as an operator it's basically free money to take commission from a small number of sales rather than turn people away. For infrequent travellers and people used to rail few will have heard of Flixbus and Nat Ex may not be on their radar either (except perhaps for Airports).
I took the 2330 Megabus from London up to Glasgow on Saturday night. I am sure this service ran via Birmingham and Manchester. It now only stops at Kingstown Carlisle. The 2345 departure on a smaller Macleans coach now calls at Birmingham and Manchester. I am sure it used to be the other way round with M11X.

I made a return trip from Birmingham to Manchester last weekend.
Last Sunday it was on the M19 departing Birmingham at 10:10. This was operated by McLeans H 24 MCL, a 49 seat Yutong, in McLeans livery and an "on hire to Citylink" slipboard. Have got to say the legroom on this wasn't great, so if Flixbus is the same then that is probably another reason not to use them. Departure was on time with around a dozen passengers on board. We had an early arrival at Manchester Airport so after waiting 10 mins it was onto Manchester City Centre. For some reason we were going through Piccadilly Gardens, which seems an odd choice to me when it is open, never mind now whilst the road is closed! We were a couple of minutes late into Shudehill.
Tuesday was the return on the M11 departing Shudehill at 16:20, operated by Stagecoach 50503. We departed on time but the scheduled time to get to the Airport is impossible, so we were 20 mins late departing there, getting to Birmingham 40 mins late. We were about half full leaving Manchester, with even less on leaving the Airport.
The scheduled time for the afternoon journey is 2:10, which just isn't enough. The National Express service departing Chorlton St at 15:45 is given 2:45. Far more sensible.
Apart from the lateness of the return journey being annoying and entirely predictable, I was also put off the experience by the "quality" of fellow passengers.
Overall, very meah.

I try and avoid the Macleans services, I thought the M19 service ran overnight North bound from Cardiff and during the day Southbound. The Yutongs do not have much legroom on Flixbus too.

I forgot to mention the stop in Birmingham.

Also, from Monday, the stop was suspended due to roadworks on Hill Street and coaches were stopping on Navigation Street. Although you can see the coach from the normal bus stop, there is nothing indicating that this is happening.
