both were tramsRight then what broke down at chester and eport this morning within a hour of each other ?
I've been told that there's a 507 on the Ellesmere Port line, not entirely sure though.Any 507s roaming around today?
Ok I'll have a look for that and is there any on Southports today if anyone knows?I've been told that there's a 507 on the Ellesmere Port line, not entirely sure though.
Might they still be in service in July?
Great news, thanks very much for passing it on.Rumours suggest that some 507s will be retained in traffic until December due to poor availability of 777s.
How come the 'usual' three booked diagrams on the Southport - Hunts Cross do not appear to be worked by 507s lately, is this just due to poor availability of both fleets at the moment or is this the start of the transition of this line switching the remaining diagrams to 777 operation?Looks like 507003 is the only 3 car on Southports today. However a train was cancelled before that so that might have been a 507 running it but not too sure.
Not that I could see. 507010 is still doing Chester Circuits however Ellesmere Port has seen no sign of a 507 operating on it.Is anyone able to confirm whether or not a 507 is on the Ellesmere Port line today, please?
I doubt that they will run past August since the number of 507s that are being put into service is getting lower and lower by the minute.Rumours suggest that some 507s will be retained in traffic until December due to poor availability of 777s.
Thanks for confirming. Do you know which time service 010 was working when you saw it, please? Not that I could see. 507010 is still doing Chester Circuits however Ellesmere Port has seen no sign of a 507 operating on it.
I think it is now working 2C37 15:15 Circuit from ChesterThanks for confirming. Do you know which time service 010 was working when you saw it, please?
Reports 507007 was working on the Ellesmere Port line this morning, working the 0912 (2Y08) out of Ellesmere Port.Is anyone able to confirm whether or not a 507 is on the Ellesmere Port line today, please?
Thanks again. Just trying to keep a record of what works what.I think it is now working 2C37 15:15 Circuit from Chester
I suppose 507007 went back to Birkenhead North after doing that circuit since.Reports 507007 was working on the Ellesmere Port line this morning, working the 0912 (2Y08) out of Ellesmere Port.
Not sure whether this is still the case?

A few are still running. I believe the best station to see the 507s would be Liverpool Central.Hi
I don't know anything about trains but my son really wants to see the 507. Are they still running ?
Thanks for this update. Quite a few 507s on Kirkdale depot today, unusual sight these days.507001 moved from West Kirby to Birkenhead North for inspection this afternoon under its own power as 5T63, whilst 507023 and 029 went from Kirkdale to New Brighton in the early evening as 5T67. 507007 headed to Kirkdale after its short morning stint on the Ellesmere Port line but I'm not sure if it remained there.
After an unfortunate week for the 507s, hopefully normal service is only a few days away. The three-car situation on the Southport line cannot continue.

Maybe an eBay auction "99p starting bid, no reserve"?This has appeared on BBC News today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx88nq5jy57o
"A rail enthusiast has bought a 1970s train for £1 in a bid to save it from the scrapheap.
I was surprised to read it's 507001 that the chap in the article has purchased. I thought that unit was already earmarked to be taken by a preservation movement?
Excellent, I wish them every success.Yes, it’s the same scheme.
