Provisional date is Sunday 28th July 2024 but any prospective punters are strongly advised NOT to book any non-refundable / non cancelation accommodation (that is also assuming that the Class 507's remain in traffic too to operate on the date as not guaranteed).

I think the idea is that the date for the farewell will be as close to actual withdrawal as is reasonable/possible, and would be adjusted to make that happen

More or less spot on with latter thought, hence 'provisional' date but that is three months away and only six Class 777's still to arrive on Merseyside, with thirteen Class 507's currently still currently available.

507011 had its red marker lights on when I viewed it at midday, 015+ 018 stabled ready for next booked duties in Southport sidings.

507007 has now taken over from 507023 on the West Kirby line. It looks as though a swap was made at Birkenhead North station at 18.53. 007 is working the 20.01 circuit on the WK line now.

Yes just got off it at Lime Street at 20.33. 018 was indeed beastly thank-you again, unfortunately no rheostatic on today but was still enjoyably loud. Didn't really hear any with rheostatic today actually

I really liked 023 too - especially the compressor coach end. Happy to just see the front of 033 in BN depot before it leaves. I imagine 015 won't run much longer either - I presume they'll couple it to 011 and send them both to BN early next week.

A vst/var path will only appear on the day it runs unfortunately. Several times they seem to have set off towards the tail end of the morning peak,

I'm not saying this is what will happen, just speculating really based on what’s happened before

Keep eyes on here there’s always someone who will post the path but you may not get much notice. It was around 930-10am when I videoed 508 114 on its trip to BN at James Street and similarly 507 002 as well.

Theyve also sometimes headed down from Southport after the evening peak if they’d been in use that day (030 did this in March and 004 as well I think when it was withdrawn)

Massive disclaimer that it might not happen the same way though!!

next scrap run is apparently Tuesday (as it’s bank holiday on Monday) so anytime around then is likely for them to move

Take directions from the depot shunter to get everything hooked up, go into the mess room (if it’s friendly territory) and watch some late night tv and eat a meal, then head back out when the time comes?

It’s just an overnight freight move really.
