Don't think so, as all trains are diverting via Corby. The MMLU website states the following with regard to services from Kettering:The closure on 14th July seems very extensive, does this involve OHL work around Kettering North Jct?
Route improvement work will be taking place between Leicester and Market Harborough. Trains will be unable to call at these stations.
If you are travelling Southbound (Towards London)
Your journey will not be affected however train departure times may be different from our printed timetable.
If you are travelling Northbound
Trains will divert around Market Harborough and Leicester with journey times being extended by 40-60 minutes.
If you are travelling to Market Harborough or Leicester you should join a replacement coach service from this station.

Yes unfortunately!Out of interest, does anyone know the kind of structures will be erected at Wellingborough & Kettering station considering they're listed? I also read Network Rail are trimming the lovely canopies at Kettering. Is the same happening at Wellingborough?
Not sure if it's been posted here before, but according to https://midlandmainlineupgrade.co.uk/station/wellingborough/ Platform 4 at Wellingborough is going to be reinstated:
Kettering also getting longer platform.
Could just be the The Railway Magazine catching up with the earlier story in Modern Railways, even though that turned out to be somewhat ambiguous anyway...In the latest issue of "The Railway Magazine" (July 2019) it is reporting that "Market Harborough will now be the northern limit of 25kV electrification on the MML after the government decided to authorise the installation of wires beyond Grendon Junction, near Kettering, to make best use of connections to the National Grid."
Good news.... but I don't think that I have seen anywhere else that the decision has actually been taken though?
I thought Modern Railways had jumped the gun on this one - I still haven't seen an absolute confirmation. Probably waiting for a likely election campaign in the next few months so the local Tory MP can announce with appropriate fanfare. In the latest issue of "The Railway Magazine" (July 2019) it is reporting that "Market Harborough will now be the northern limit of 25kV electrification on the MML after the government decided to authorise the installation of wires beyond Grendon Junction, near Kettering, to make best use of connections to the National Grid."

The platforms at Wellingborough will be extended Southwards so the gantries over the fast and slow lines will become starting signals at the platform ends. Not sure if it's been posted here before, but according to https://midlandmainlineupgrade.co.uk/station/wellingborough/ Platform 4 at Wellingborough is going to be reinstated:
I can recommend the 4th link, followed by "Visualisation 3", "Visualisation 5" & "Visualisation 6" heartily - they give a look at what Wellingborough might look like with OLE in P1/2.The platforms at Wellingborough will be extended Southwards so the gantries over the fast and slow lines will become starting signals at the platform ends.
Whilst the canopy on platform 1 will be cut back the plans show it will be done very sensitively and in fact missing historic detail will be restored. The goods shed will also be brought partly back into use to give access to the Southern extension of platform 1. Shame it couldn't also be used as a waiting shelter or cafe.
Platform 4 will be quite basic by the looks of it with two sixteen person shelters. Can't see any sign in the plans for a new Western entrance though despite the new development taking place - including what looks like drop off points and a bus stop appearing that side! Mind you I wonder if Stagecoach will actually serve the revamped station with more than the rail replacement bus to Bedford and the half-hourly Corby service (that still requires a leisurely five minute walk to the nearest bus stop). No links at all to Rushden/Irchester/Higham Ferrers or even most of Wellingborough itself.

Interesting that the island platform southward extension will be split level, with short ramps between the two sides. Presumably the new work will be at an optimised height for the stepping distance, so there’ll have to be a fence separating the up and down sides of the island...Thanks Helvellyn and 59CosG95 for those links. It looks to be a good and sympathetic treatment of the station to create the enhancements and upgrades.
Do Thameslink have enough units for this? Be interesting if they do because it would suggest Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby will see 2 per EMR into St Pancras and X per hour Thameslink through the core. Presumably the latter might offer some cheaper tickets as well.Thameslink doing Brighton to Corby with 700 units. He said this when I asked what provision will be made for Bedford terminators if they clog up the Bedford platforms. He said they will run to Corby so it won't be a problem.
I think that the proposed diagramming of the new "EMR Electrics" services north of Bedford won't be needing the crossover at Sharnbrook to be adjusted during normal day-to-day use. As I understand it, trains are planned to use the Fasts up until the new Wellingborough South Junction, where they'll then transfer over to the Slows.View attachment 65284 When I was at Sharnbrook today I thought the crossover lines should look like this. The trains that crossover here do so at 15mph, with a diamond crossover in a straight line you could pretty much go over the up fast at 60mph.
The Modern Railways article a couple of months back said that northbound Corby trains would cross to the Slows at Wellingborough North and southbound would cross to the Fasts at Wellingborough South. So no frequent use of Sharnbrook, or indeed of Wellingborough platform 3.I think that the proposed diagramming of the new "EMR Electrics" services north of Bedford won't be needing the crossover at Sharnbrook to be adjusted during normal day-to-day use. The problem is that unit reliability / number in service isn't as high as needed and they are meant to step up the service in December. So not much wriggle room.If true and not a leg-pull, I would guess it's a short term measure until the 360s can be brought in. I think Thameslink still aren't running the projected full service so they probably have some units to spare. A slower and less comfortable journey isn't going to be popular though!
Yes - the tracks and sidings north from Rockingham Rd have had foundations and steelwork going up, with the intention of the EMR Electrics using them to reverse/clear the platforms, or for stabling. If 700's are going to Corby, what would be best practice for reversing at Corby? Are the sidings north of the station getting OHLE?
Can Corby handle 12 car units? If so, that would be a drastic improvement for Bedford. Currently EMT are only servicing Corby with 5 car 222's I think.
