Hoping somone may be able to help.
A friend observed a new build coach on the back of a low loader at Longton.

It is the Aluminium shell with a, piece of cab attached., like a commuter shell as doors at 1/3rd and 2/3rd down shell.

Seems a strange location for one to be at.

That is fully built and painted, this is literally an empty shell.

Bodyshells are being delivered to the CAF plant in Newport on a regular basis.

If it's on a low loader, it's going somewhere! The only places that'd be taking bodyshells are CAF Newport and Hitachi in Newton Aycliffe, but I believe that Hitachi's bodyshells are already painted. The description of doors at 1/3 & 2/3 also makes it more likely to be heading for Newport. Odd that they're delivering shells up north and then transporting them down when there are ports much nearer to Newport!

Hitachis brings them in via Tees Port.
CAF bring them In at Portbury, Bristol.

Longton works where the carriage is, is normally a locomotive repair centre, can't see any reason why they would stable a lorry there whilst on route A-B.
