Interesting to see that the planned expansion to Beamish includes Trolley Buses.

http://www.railadvent.co.uk/2017/10/remaking-beamish-the-18-million-project.html
The expansion will expand the open air museum in County Durham and will see the addition of 30 new exhibits, which once completed, will include a 1950s town, with a farm and a Georgian Coaching Inn, where visitors will be able to stay overnight. In addition, it it will feature a cinema, shops, cafe, bowling green and fish and chip shop, and much more!

A trolley bus system and restored buses will be used to take visitors around the attraction.
Is there anywhere else in the UK that has them already preserved?

Isn't there still the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft?

(Disclaimer: I have no idea where Sandtoft is, I think it's vaguely near Doncaster  )

Not surprised, it's a long way from where anyone is :D Hope you enjoy your visit when you get round to it. Just keep a look out on the website for special events.

Yes it is near Donny. There are also trolley buses at the East Anglian Transport museum and at The Black Country living museum. All are excellent and well worth a visit.

I made a special visit for the commemoration of 50 years since London trolleybuses were withdrawn, and travelled from Penzance to (as near as damn it) Lowestoft, which is as just about as far west and east as you can get in England. Well worthwhile, even if only for 3 hours.

As an aside, the Oxford Bus Museum is doing vintage bus rides on the afternoon of Wed 25 October. Right by Hanborough station, so couldn't be much easier to get to without a car.
