If Jaguar really wanted to use rail, then they could probably ship to the new Four Ashes freight terminal. Not far from their plant by the M54.
Having recently announced plans to renew their road haulage fleet using HVO fuel and 15.6m long trailers, I doubt JLR are in any mood to increase their use of rail.

I think the size and quantities of EV batteries required for a production plant rail will be the cheapest option. Maybe they could be the new MGR trains of the future.
How many tonnes of batteries will they actually get through? And won’t it be near just in time by the lorry load, and not having To store a trainload each time, plus a buffer in case the railway is on strike.
If the plant can get work to supply Nissan in Sunderland
Someone is building a battery factory next to the Sunderland plant aren’t they??
