I saw Chris Green at Bristol Parkway on a HST headed for Swansea!!

Took me a few goes 2 make sure i wasnt imaging things! :lol: :oops:

I think the nationalisation of RPCs is a way of creating an organisation more likely to do what the government wants. If the government wasnt to close Middlesborough-Whitby, for instance, a north-east organisation is less likely to be swayed by spurious claims of the national interest than an organisation trying to represent passengers all over the network.

There is an interview with the two new PF top bods in this weeks Rail which sets out the agenda for the new organisation and describes the deficiencies of the previous federation of local RPC's.
