66798 maybe, it’s worked engineers train from Bescot to Hilmorton Jn earlier and still there. Probably be back in Bescot 0930. 66623 will be at Tunstead this evening. 70816 been doing Bescot to Hinksey to Eastleigh where it was at 5pm

Evening,

I was stood on Nottingham Station today and a Class 37 sandwiched between two Class 56s worked from the East, stopped short of the bridge on London Road and then reversed into the Colas site at Eastcroft.

It was about 1.45pm but there was no allocated working on RTT.

I was too far away to get their numbers. Does anyone know the identity of the three locos please?

37057, 240, 254, 421. 56051, 087, 090, 113, 302 all showing to be at Eastcroft around that time.

Hi! Does anyone know what loco was assigned to 643L last night? It passed Stapleton Road at about 0209. It was definitely the loudest loco I've heard: it rattled my bedroom window from about 100m from the line, and must have been working hard based on how long it took to pass.

Was it a loco, could well have been some sort of track maintenance machine

With the timing load and origin/destination, it will have been some sort of On-Track Machine/On-Track Plant, operated by Colas. Looks to be a Railhead Treatment Train.

Actual head code is 6Z02. This will be a track grinding machine, probably working at the location, hence the reason why it was so noisy. Most likely to have been:

DR 79241 / DR 79242 / DR 79243 / DR 79244 / DR 79245 / DR 79246 / DR 79247
