Passing through Maidenhead on another train on Friday at just after 13:00 I saw what from Realtime Trains looked to be 6A50, Whatley Quarry to Hanwell. It had two 59s on the front and there was a Freightliner locomotive in the middle of the train. Any idea what these were and what was going on?

I'm having a day out tomorrrow, and working out where I'm gpiong to go.
What I'd reallly love to see are two of the 153s that have been converted for NR use - 153384 and 153385. Can anyone please tell me where they are, and if at RTC in Derby, whether visible from passing trains or not?

Both Tees Dock intermodals are usually 68-hauled these days,
so I expect that 66108 will be on the Shap ballast diagram again,
as it was last week.

It's a relatively new flow which has started between Shap and Doncaster, the workings being 6M72 01:17 Doncaster to Shap and 6E73 10:35 Shap to Doncaster

An odd question: Was there a black five steam locomotive failed at Rugby yesterday. I saw a steamer as we passed through but thought I was going mad!
