Week one: Su RD Mo Rd Tu Rd Wed Early Thu Early Fri Early Sat Early
Week Two: Su RD Mo Late Tu Late Wed RD Thu RD Fri Late Sat Late
Week 3: Su RD Mo Early Tu Early Wed Early Thu Early Fri RD Sat RD
Week 4: Su RD Mo Rd Tu RD Wed late Thu late Fri late Sat late

The cycle then continues like this .(i.e. Week 5 would be earlies with a Wed/Thu rest day)

RD = Rest day
No commited Sundays at Northern however there is a rostered Sunday every 6th week. If you don't want to work it you don't have to as long as cover is available (it usually is at Liverpool)
Earliest start 0316
Latest finish approx 0200

Full week of nights (2200-0600) every 12 weeks or so in the bottom link (just shunting to and from Allerton)

Night's is once every 30 weeks.

Not if you factor in Mo-Th nights is on one line
Fri,Sat on another line
That week of 1900 Spares where you more than likely pick up nights.

Hey bud could you tell me what the shift pattern with the drivers is at present ..thanks.

The posted rota above is the current west side template for all drivers depots.
Blackpool (possibly not the ex TPE link)
Buxton
Liverpool
Both Manchesters
Wigan
Not 100% what terms Barrow and Workington are on.

The dark side of the Pennines (east to avoid confusion) has a different system altogether. As do conductor grades.

I've never picked up nights from 19.00 spare though that possibility is there. A full week of nights is once every 30 weeks as is the Friday and Saturday. Though Saturday is an earlier start now and consequently an early finish

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has an example of a rota for the east side please, I'm due to start in Jan for Northern from Hull so was just wondering what the rota looked like.

I'll obviously find out soon enough but just wondering :)

Barrow and Workington are ex FNW depots and fall under West conditions. The ex TPE staff at Barrow and Blackpool are still working to their old TPE conditions and are therefore rostered separately for now.
