Good cover versions:

Melanie - Ruby Tuesday
Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Santana - Black Magic Woman
P.P. Arnold - The First Cut Is the Deepest

Bad:

Judas Priest - Green Manalishi
Céline Dion - River Deep, Mountain High

Absolutely, unbelievably and ineffably atrocious:

Lulu - The Man Who Sold the World

Priest's cover of Manalishi isn't that bad although I think it gets overplayed.

Speaking of Priest Covers...

Toots and The Maytals - 54-46 Was My Number https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqQtgMtNEFQ

Roland Alphonso - Phoenix City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJuEYdqNbHI

and of course my theme song:

Bob and Marcia - To Be Young, Gifted and Black https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF67IBYVPUU

Been listening to an excellent new rock CD, "Becoming Aware" by Paradigm Shift.

The only music available on the internet seems to be a 2 minute album trailer, giving a brief idea about they sound.

(Caution - there is at least one other band with the same name, but playing very different types of music.)

Sounds pretty good, they can certainly play their instruments. I hope their songwriting is as good, the clips were too short to form an opinion.

Sparks - Here in Heaven

The Kimono My House album is probably the most underrated album of all time.

I had this on in the car today. Do you think they'll ever amount to anything?

Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love

No - they won't last - the drummer will probably use too many silly substances.......(But whilst they survive, they will become the world's best rock band)

and there will be a Yardbirds reunion (several times)

"Bring It On Home To Me"

Recently discovered Glière Symphony 3. Can't believe I hadn't until recently. The woodwind parts in particular are awesome.
