The latest unit for delivery to Avanti, 807005, currently working Darlington to Wembley via Edinburgh.

This leaves just 807009 and 807010 to be delivered.

Second trip on these new sets today inside 3 weeks.

First trip - no reservations, coach letters only on external display, some coaches freezing cold with train manager directing pax to sit elsewhere.

Second trip - no reservations, no external coach letters at all, shop in front section of train (2x 5 car units) is closed due to a “safety issue” and pax advised to change to rear section at each stop if they want any refreshments. USB socket physically broken.

So, not a great experience on either occasion.

Apparently no water in the Shop on 805008 meaning no Shop available on the front of 1R15 05:35 Blackpool to London, rear set of 09:02 London to Holyhead as far as Chester, 11:32 Chester to London Euston etc.

RTT says this train ran all the way from Coventry to Wolverhampton before being cancelled again (although it mentions operated by 390 112).

I was thinking that the people on board will be even less impressed by our current railway when they are turfed off somewhere en route. I suppose they are at least on a train and heading north...

Just looked at RTT and it was terminated at Wolves! I wonder whether they would get to Crewe for the 1809 to Glasgow, or whether they will be expected to wait for the 1909 to Edinburgh, which seems to be making reasonable progress now, having just left Euston...

My first time on a 807 last night. 807003 from Watford Junction to Wolverhampton. 9G38 18:31 from Watford Junction.

I was impressed. They are speedy trains. Seats are the same as the Pendolino. Sat in a couple of seats one which had plenty of leg room. Table areas are good with working charging facilities. It had WiFi which was intermittent at times but it worked. The shop is quite small as I walked through the whole train. Ride quality was good. Must say there are some doors which split up one half of some coaches. Very spacious inside and they do look good. Probably my favourite so far out of this style of train. The reservations worked as well and the announcements were loud and clear.

Any news on when 807005 will make it's first service run?

Understand 807009 will be the penultimate unit to be delivered, finishing with the unique liveried 807010.

A diversity livery covering the whole train (so lead to believe).
Check post #3503 for part of one carriage wrapped in the ‘livery’

Edited to correct post number
