This does make me feel old - I can remember when Simon Salad Cream (name courtesy of Viz) first joined Radio 1 as the Breakfast Show presenter (with Sybil Roscoe doing the news stories?).

I remember when, about the same time, Smashie and Nicey were bumped off to “Radio Quiet” replaced by two new, up and coming DJs called Mark Cr@p and Simon Christ. Not at all an obvious reference to Goodier and Mayo!

Must laugh - used to work in radio and also, have worked with quite a number of the people that have been mentioned in this thread...

Quit last year to become an ADI as it's become the most tone-deaf, self-aggrandising and irrelevant media out there. The BBC are the worst offenders as I swear to you, they have very little concept of life outside of their very own special little world.

These days I listen to Livestreams and Podcasts on YouTube (anyone who likes a good interview, check out Joe Rogan). The content is far superior
