What is RailSim2? MSTS never had a sequel, Rail Simulator became Railworks, and now Railworks 2, so what are these actually for?

I imagine he means Rail Works 2 which as you say is the sequel to Rail Works which in turn superceeded Rail Simulator.

Well I'd have thought so, but looking at the screenshots, it doesn't seem that it is.

This is not rail simulator or railworks or MSTS. It is entirely different and is made by a Japanese fellow !

I think you can, but I don't know much about this one.

You set a train speed and its route by telling stations that it stops there and for how long and setting points to direct each train where you set it too. You don't actually drive the train as it is not a driving simulator its more HVR2 style but allot more detailed and fun!
