What colour did the LNER paint the first overhead structures on the Woodhead line, and why were they repainted in a different colour very shortly after?

Red Oxide paint,then repainted to avoid confusion?
I'll give you that one! They were painted red oxide (a browny-red) but when war broke out, it was quickly realised that they created a lovely red trail leading enemy planes down Longdendale towards Manchester, so they were hurriedly painted a dull grey.
