What locos will they use on the 3S20/21/22 circuit? It was great this year seeing 37s power up past Burley station, but they were replaced more and more by 66s which was a shame.

Think it'll be 37s if possible but they may use Harry Needle 20s.

Last year 66s only took over due to lack of 37s.

If not 37s or 20s, what else could actually cover the 3J51 circuit this year? Wasn't a 153 recently converted for RHTT use?

Was in Carlisle last week [Friday lunchtime or thereabouts] , and noticed several RHTT sets tucked beside the wall.
Didn't get an image or the exact time as I was heading over to catch my train and didn't have any time to spare.

They were still there Saturday, and I assumed they were being stored there as they were blocked in by the Class 57 Thunderbird.

Does anyone know what is likely to be used over the Penistone Line, I believe that has been a problematic line for a while?

Looking at the Sectional Appendix, there's nothing in the Colas fleet that sticks out as problematic. 20 (from HNRC), 37, 56, 66, 70, all have a yes, and apparently the route has a route availability (RA) of 8.

Thanks.

Is there a guide to which diagrams are run and when, outside of RTT?
Yes - I provide detailed lists, schedules and loco diagrams on my site when the trains start running,
as well as including timings for all loco-hauled RHTT trains in the Freightmaster timetables.

Thanks, possibly it’s more of a pathing challenge than an infrastructure one then.

Is there any confirmation as to what's operating the East Yorkshire circuits this year?
I'm aware that Colas 66s will continue on the West Yorks circuits.

Would 3J51 run on the last day of September if they have Varied (VAR) the path?

Update:
Colas/HNRC class 37s on 3J51, 3S20 etc and 3S29
37610 and 37425 have been confirmed, with suggestions of 37057, 37422 and 37607

Hi, Just wondering when the York 3J51 RHTT loop is due to start? Any information about when it may start is welcome. If nobody knows anything would ringing up Colas be a good idea?

Around the start of October maybe a tad earlier, there will most likely be a couple of shakedown runs before it commences properly.
Keep a look out for them and that'll give you an indication of how soon.

610 back in traffic then? Or was it 612 that was stopped? (my memory is failing me)

Think it's the 29th of Spetember as the paths have been VAR'd

Any idea what these would run as? Or could they run as 3J51?
