Shakedown run planned for 26th September from York TE. Circuits will start 1st October. Penistone Barnsley is 66’s, Scarborough and Selby 37’s. West Yorkshire and Bradford is a mixture of 56’s and 66’s I am told. Most IM traffic will revert to powercars if the maintenance schedules are fulfilled and heavy traffic dealt with by 70’s as usual.

Many thanks.

I'm assuming the North Wales/Cambrian diagram, 3S71 will be predominantly 97s (perhaps with assistance from 37405 for non-Cambrian legs) this year?

And 67s possibly, after the (failed) shakedown run the other day

023 and 027 are at Coleham

Yorks RHTT should start on 29th September as the schedules have been VAR'd for 3S20 and 3J51

Looking at the Sectional Appendix, there's nothing in the Colas fleet that sticks out as problematic. 20 (from HNRC), 37, 56, 66, 70, all have a yes, and apparently the route has a route availability (RA) of 8.

Why on earth would it be 20s? There's only a handful on the mainline register, Colas don't operate them or have any crew knowledge of them.

Is this more just an enthusiasts wishlist?

I know, it's pretty stupid that at this point people still think it's going to be 20s. It was a good idea in the first place but now it's too late

Because it was originally speculation about 20s. I was merely stating what was allowed on the Penistone Line according to the SA. But thank you for the lovely comment.

3S71 is set to go on the 29th September. I imagine it’ll be the usual 97s on Machynlleth end and then 56s on the North Wales Coast?

York class 37 RHTT lineup:
37254
37419
37422
37424
37425
37610
37612

I'd take this with a pinch of salt, I've heard that the allocations could be subject to change.

Wasn't intended as nasty comment - simply explaining that 20s aren't a sensible proposition. If it's what you'd /like/ to see that's absolutely fine - but not overly likely haha!

Definitely 37254 since it ran as 0M38 to Derby R.T.C. earlier.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

Edit: Timed to be 37254, 37405 and 37116

Edit 2: Ran as 37254, 37405, 37116 and 37219. All colas owned except 37405
