Can any body recommend any splits for a Rishton to St James Park Exeter this coming Saturday. Flexible tickets with no railcard departing at approx. 06:00 returning at 17:00. Going changing at Preston and Birmingham but on the return changing at Birmingham, Manchester and then walking to Victoria and stopping short at Blackburn.

St James - Taunton CDR £11.80
Taunton - Bristol TM CDR £13.30
Bristol TM - Cheltenham Spa CDR £9.40
Cheltenham Spa - Wolverhampton SVR £25.20
Wolverhampton - Rishton SVR £49.30

Comes to £99, around £44.50 less than the off-peak return.

The last bit can likely be made cheaper.

E.g.,

Rishton - Stockport CDR via Burnley X £11.60
Stockport - Stafford CDR £18.90
Stafford - Wolves CDR £7.70 But then that would not be valid on your chosen outbound
