Yeah same for me. Not heard anything since the email to say I’d met the required standard and I’m also based in North Lanarkshire. Trying to remain patient and optimistic
It definitely isn’t in my junk mate. This is the second time this has happened to me after applying so it all just seems a bit strange.

Hi All, I applied in March 24, completed online assessments (passed) and have just today been advised that I have an assessment day at AC next week. I have read over the email which advises that I will sit the below. The attachment on the email advises on an interview also, can anyone advise that if on assessment 1 if there is an interview involved? Apologies if I am being a bit stupid here but can’t see it.
- Group Bourdon
- Trainability for Rules and Procedures Parts 1 and 2
- Test of Everyday Attention (Tea-Occ)

The MMI is usually at the end of the day 2 tests I think. This looks like the part 1 tests, so no interview. You should have been sent practice materials which will give an idea of what to expect. Don’t quote me, each company does it their way.
If you are going to do the MMI, you are asked in advance (on the day) to talk about different topics/subjects. At the end when you have the interviews, you’ll be quizzed on them, but no surprises as you know what the subject is.

Thanks for this, your message aligns with my thoughts so I am happy it is just assessments. I will have a look over the materials sent and take it from there.
Hi all. Finally received my 1st assessment date for next week Wednesday 27th. Check emails/junk for those waiting. March 2024 applicant, Glasgow based.
Hi Guys, quick question on the group bourdon (assessment day 1), can anyone tell me how many lines are on each of the 5 pages? Doing some sample questions just now and there is 25/26 lines (up and down page) and the same amount of columns (across page). Aware the expectation is not to complete every line but I am getting to around line 10 within the 2 mins time limit and this feels short……as always any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I ain’t sure how many lines there were when I did mine. However, the practise ones you get given and the ones on the day are slightly different. The group of dots are spaced out better and clearer so you can differentiate between each group and recognise the group of four dots easier. On the day though the assessors say the key is accuracy and speed. Forget that. Just go as quick as you can without making mistakes. The mistakes you make are what goes against you, not the amount you do. When I did mine, I was completing about half the sections. As I looked across to see how others did, they did the same amount. As long as you’re aiming about half, you should be fine. I passed the assessment day too.
Hope this helps.

I can’t remember how many lines there were on each test, but whilst practicing I was doing between 10-14 lines and getting pretty much all of them correct bar one or two. The Bourdon was for me the hardest test in my head that I could practice for, and I did, a lot. On the day I was probably achieving the same amount of lines and I managed to score enhanced for them. Don’t worry about what others say they’ve done, just concentrate on your own speed and accuracy. One guy told us he was clearing all the lines. I’ve no idea if he actually passed, but we never saw him again at the subsequent days.

Hi guys, I’ve just got a date for my first assessment date in Glasgow.
In the email I received it says I will sit Group Bourdon, TRP parts 1&2 and Tea-occ.
Can anyone who has attended recently confirm if it is only these tests I will be sitting on the day? After having a look on here it looks like some people have had 2 interviews? Also in the practice information sent says you may have an interview on the day?
Assessment 1 is just the paper based tests.
DMI is a seperate day at the Depot you're applying for.
Assessment 2 is the computer based tests, then straight on to the MMI if you've passed.

Thanks to all that have posted through the months, it has definitely helped. I have the stage 2 assessments and potential mmi if I pass them next week and was wondering if those who paid for the practice software thought it was worth the spend? I am on the verge of paying for the hazard perception one just to get a feel for it before the day but any advice appreciated. Cheers!
I did pay for it, and found it reasonable, but not great, as each scene was different and asked you different questions, eg, the letter on the 2nd pillar in a car park, colour of the 3rd cyclists helmet, and in that sense the actual tests are easier as you know what you're looking for.
I practised when i was a passenger in a car passing the end of each street, glancing down and looking for the things you're asked for in the actual test.. .pedestrian, bicycle/motorcycle , traffic signs, traffic lights, vehicles.
Did anyone attend the assessment centre last week for 1st lot of assessments and have heard anything back yet? They said after on Tuesday that it should be by end of the week. Yet to hear though

Keep practicing as much as possible and try to increase the speed whilst maintaining accuracy
The instructions say speed and accuracy are important
Try and replicate the test and do 10 minutes worth of dots….
2 minutes per page every now and then
You will start to identify the patterns of 4 dots
I found I would miss a four dot pattern towards the start or end of a line for some reason
On the day the sheets are clear and well spaced
Can’t remember how many lines down but in the early 20s I’d guess
I think it’s also important to be consistent over the 5 pages of the test so a similar number of lines with least number of errors per page across the whole test
I think I was completing 10 to 12 Lines each page / 2 minutes so around 12 seconds per line give or take
At the end of each page:
Look away briefly from the sheets Take a deep breath Reset and go for the next page Repeat x4
If I’m remembering correctly the say Change at the end of each 2 minutes and off you go on the next sheet
It’s not designed to be completed
I printed sheets from the GB tool on this forum as well as buying a few books and would just do something every day leading up to the tests

Did my tests about 4 years back
Paid for the software for all 3 computer tests two weeks before
Practiced all three and went in as prepared as I could be.
In my opinion well worth the outlay.
The Grey Square and two handed test were great. The pictures were always a bit touch and go but got better with practice and I passed on the day.
Others however say they just went with the practice papers sent out by OPC.
