Has anyone started their training? Would be interesting to hear how it’s going, start times and what time do you get finished on the Friday?

This isn't ment to sound ratty at all, but read this thread!

I say that because it gives you all the info you need. Which is that no two experiences are the same. It also tells you to prepare as best you can and just do what you can on the day

Did sound a little "Ratty" to be honest with you, i am asking people for there personal experiences that is all if you dont want to share then i would say dont feel the need to comment.

I have read this thread and have been keeping up to date but it is an open thread and everyone is welcome to post what they like and feel would benefit them. Totally understand that no two experiences would be the same but in my eyes its good to here others feedback.

Thanks for your comment tho & thank you to the people who have inboxed me with there advice its really appreciated and really helped :)

Are they likely to put out applications for new trainees this year or have they still got plenty to draw from during the last campaign?
I think from what I've heard there won't be any fresh applications out this year due to the sheer number of folk who put in for it last year. For your sake I hope I'm wrong so you get your chance, but certainly from what I've heard there is not going to be any further applications until next year.

Hi all.

How flexible are the recruiters in changing dates of Assessments? I just got told that I have my MMI this Thursday and given my current work, its unlikely ill make it.

cheers

Can I ask are you Glasgow and did you just find out today? I'm waiting on MMI date. 2 days notice isn't ideal. Hope you can get it changed and good luck.

They sent me a date today for stage2 assessments & MMi even tho I’ve already sat them and successfully passed them over a month ago lol must have sent it to the wrong person.

Sent an email back saying am waiting on medical date incase they sent the wrong email.

I was the same. Got an email this morning for stage 2 and mmi. Luckily I work for myself and have no issue with the date but seems very short notice for people having to arrange time off from work.

Folks,

I had my first assessments on Monday past, felt it went ok, really relaxed atmosphere cannot fault anything about the process.

Felt the tests were well explained and we're ok, I personally felt the phone directory and tones to be the most difficult of all the tests.

Has anyone had a situation where they may have missed a matching symbol during this? Unsure if there is any room for error on this one.

I think most people don’t fully complete each test so wouldn’t worry about it. Easier said than done mind you , the waiting for results is a killer.

Yeah it's more so I think I missed a symbol in between other ones that I had circled correctly.

I suppose it is a case of what will be will be, unsure if there is any margin for error etc. Hopefully there is in my case.

Other than that one test, I felt the others were comfortable.

Hi,

Anyone that is starting there training soon, have you heard anything about references? I haven't been told to submit any apart from when I did the initial application form?
