Does anyone know what's usually allocated on the 09:10 M91 Edi-Inv operated by parks, and likewise for the 10:10 M90?

Literally anything Parks have, Elites, Volvo 9700s, Odd occasion a Panorama, Majority of the time it's a Volvo B8R Elite though.

Now that Citylink are promoting celebrations for their 40th birthday, they note on their website "a special 40th-anniversary Citylink bus" will be on tour to host pop-up events, giveaways, and photo opportunities. I'm guessing this will be some sort of retro livery, but going by their promotional graphic on the webpage it looks like it'll be in "Mark 2 (i.e. privatisation livery) rather than original.

If they are using "Citylink 2" it'll be rather disappointing. Not only will they be using a livery that's incorrect for the period, it's also technically not the 40th anniversary of the Citylink brand, either!

I suppose we'll have to wait and see what appears.

The M92, and a portion of the M90 have been uploaded onto the lothian driver training youtube channel. Does anyone know if they've picked up citylink work and if so, who they are taking the work from?

It's not the anniversary of the brand, but Scottish Citylink Coaches Ltd as a separate company was formed in 1985.

I would hope that the waiting times at Inverness are enough for passengers to have a stretch providing there's no big delay.

For the peak summer period, 17th May onwards, the 919 Inverness - Fort William service has two services to/from Oban. 07:30 & 13:30 Oban to Inverness, 12:10 & 18:10 return with 30 - 45 min breaks in Fort William which allow connections for Skye.

Given these aren't showing until the 17th I assume they are additional to the current 918 services provided by West Coast Motors, Traveline Scotland is still showing the current 918's, anyone able to confirm?

they will be 918 services. the only coach direct from Inverness to Oban will be the new Ember service.

Yes I'd say so, enough time for some fresh air and a trip to Ashers or Charlie's Cafe if one doesn't dawdle. I wonder if they'll use the new double-decker Volvos? The usual 917 coaches are showing their age and mileage now.

It will be interesting to see how well loaded that is.

I'm interested to know why the similar Megabus doesn't allow a 30-minute stretch on their services yet their journeys are longer than the new 912.

This is a service i will certainly use regardless of getting in late, it allows people to visit Skye for the a day trip now as oppose to having to find a BnB/Hotel on Skye itself which i have had a look in the past and it can be quite expensive even for just the 1 night.

Yes, hillwalkers out for the day. Morning services out of Glasgow are popular with hillwalkers. The late evening service will only allow connections to overnight airport services.

West Coast Motors operate it commercially.

Ember are operating Oban to Inverness and Fort Bill to Inverness in the summer.

I'm sure they'll be pleased, a good example of how these services link communities and families as well as allowing tourists to explore Scotland.

Hairy Haggis put their two new Yutong GTe14 tri-axle electric coaches into service today.
R27HHT did the early shift 909 whilst R26HHT replaced it for the backshift.

Photos linked:

In service just now on the 909 but to be put onto the M92 when the service changes kick in.
Does the 909 vary at the weekend with type of coach compared to weekday?. Interdecks and Irizar a few Saturdays ago.
