Hi all,

Just wondering that because of where on this route it is easiest to alight and later in the day get on the train for work, is St Budeaux Victoria Road a valid station to depart from on a direct Gunnislake to Liskeard service which runs via Plymouth?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, you can travel between Bodmin and Plymouth as much as you want anyway.

Strictly speaking I don't think it is valid, however if you ask the guard, I doubt he will say "no".

Is there a reason why you want to get on/off the train at Victoria Road rather than Ferry Road? It seems strange that you would invest additional time in going round Plymouth.

For future reference, buy your season to Gunnislake instead of Plymouth. It is the same price.

But St Budeaux Victoria Road (SBV) isn't between Bodmin Parkway and Plymouth - it's on the Gunnislake branch.

Bodmin Parkway to Plymouth is valid via SBV due to the 3-mile rule

As the tickets are the same price, can the OP switch their ticket to Gunnislake if they pay the £10 admin charge?

Or for no charge do a changeover, provided that the ticket is valid for a month or more. ;)

Is it an official interchange between Victoria Road and Ferry Road?

There are a couple of Gunnislake to Cornwall trains that reverse at Plymouth. Presumably if the OP finishes work in time for the Plymouth bound part of this train it would be more pleasant to sit on the train to Plymouth and back than sit at St Budeax Victoria Road.

Exactly, I work out at Langage which has a direct bus to and from St Budeaux which gets back to St Budeaux at 1750 which means I can either get on the Gunnislake to Liskeard train from Victoria Road at 1803 or Ferry Road at 1825, hence my chioice to go from Victoria Road as it provides a quicker connection.
