Season ticket help...

Why does my route not have a season ticket option? I work at Birmingham Airport and currently drive 90 miles a day commuting to work and would love to use public transport.

There are direct trains from my local station near Telford into Birmingham International but this route has no season ticket options when I use the calculator, where as 'Birmingham Stations' does have a season ticket option. I take it Birmingham International is not included in 'Birmingham Stations'? (That would be too easy).

I don't qualify for any other rail card and a season ticket would be the only affordable option when compared with petrol costs etc.

Would appreciate any help/wisdom on this issue as I must admit, I am a rail travel novice. Thank you

If you can clarify what station is your starting station we may be able to assist more. You say, near Telford, is this Oakengates?

I can't find a weekly season ticket Wellington Salop - Birmingham Intl but Network West Midlands offer a train Out Of County season ticket from Wellington at these prices:

• Monthly: £150.20, or £135.70 by direct debit
• Annual: £1,564.00

This is valid from Wellington to any railway station in West Midlands county.

As well as commuting to and from Birmingham International, the ticket suggested by John @ home would allow unlimited travel to any of the stations shown within the coloured zones on this plan:

Availability
Any ticket using validity code DB must not be sold from any rail station ticket office, travel agents or thetrainline or any other online ticket issuing system.

Tickets using validity code DB can only be sold by the Centro Sales Team based at Centro House, Birmingham. These tickets are offered to members of their Corporate Discount Scheme and to passengers who purchase their season ticket by Direct Debit.
