Penrith has a "suburb" by the name of Carleton. Carleton is not to be confused with Tarleton (among other places).

Sollom should not be confused with Sodom, which really is a place in the UK, it's a settlement on Whalsay, Shetland.

:P

(ok, technically, its' the anglicisation of Sudheim, but it's good enough, surely.)

I hate to bring this up, but this does rather associate with the village of Bottom's Fold ;)

Urgh <(

A more worthy suburb of Liverpool with regards to stadia is Walton :p

My saying this is technically hypocritical, given Everton played at Anfield for the first 14 years of their existence.

There is a Leeds in Kent which has a fantastic castle. To get to it by train you would get off at the county town of Maidstone.

Probably the most famous Earl of Rochester was the infamous poet, man about town and friend of King Charles II, John Wilmot, the 2nd earl. He is buried at Spelsbury, Oxfordshire, and to be honest it's surprising he wasn't a lot earlier.

Sorry - I have to agree. Dartmoor is a landscape, not a settlement.

Princetown has a name that is similar to a major US University (Princeton). Grangetown's name is also similar to such an institution (Georgetown).
